Hi! I think on one hand it makes sense not to combine starches, protein and fats etc. in one meal. On the other hand all foods in nature have more or less a mixture of all the food groups within itself. Even breastmilk (which is natures` perfect food for babys) is a mixture of carbs, protein and fat? What is the purpose of doing mono eating then?

I put flaxseeds every morning in my fruit-smoothie but I am not sure if I am doing it right. I soak them overnight. The next monring they are totally jelly and I try to rinse them even though it is difficult. Then I put them into a blender with fruit. Is that the right way to get rid of the enzyme-inhibitors? Is it necessary to soak AND rinse flaxseeds and to grind them?

Can I trust that almonds which I buy in bulk bins and which are labeled as "raw" really are raw? I read different things about some pastorization law and really wonder if the almonds I buy are raw or not. Sprouting does not really work since almond sprouds do hardly look different than unsoaked ones...

Here I found that article: Very inspiring and most of it does make a lot of sense but some parts are waaay to exaggerated. I do not think anybody in this world could proof any numbers like that. There are also many flaws like for example somebody who eats 95 % cooked (like many many people do, which are not ailing too much visibly for many years) absorbs only 0.03% nutrition. After tha

Hi! What do you guys think about this extract of an article? "Percentage Cooked Food to Raw Food Consumed and Percentage Nutrition Assimilated % of raw food % cooked food % assimilation 5 95 .03 10 90 .06 25 75 .1 50 50 .3 75 25 1.0 99 1 3.0 100 0 30.0 "I'd like to explain this table by way of an illustration. Hi! I am really wondering if there is something true about the eye-color changes after being raw. My questions: 1. Did anybody notice any changes in eye-color? 2. If yes, for how long have you been raw and how high is your raw-percentage? 3. How long did it take for the eye-color change? 4. Are there any before-after pictures? There should be many raw-foodlers here so if th

Hi! I am also breastfeeding my 5-months-old son and I started getting into raw just a few days ago. I am about 70 % raw as well (everything raw until dinner which consists of a cooked meal and a salad, supplemented with digestive enzymes). So far I do not have noticed any detox-symptoms, neither with my son. The only thing I noticed is that he does not @#$%& as much any more. The amount is s
