You should have definitely dumped that lot by now and started again. With sunflower sprouts I just soak for 8 hours over night and rinse and drain very well the next day. if you want to eat these sprouts at the early stage then I suggest that you don't rinse again and allow them to dry on a paper towel for 24 hours then they will be ready to eat. I agree with the above comments, the small leafy sprouts need more room, I only put a tablespoon of seed in a jar for this reason. I also make sure that they don't tangle as they start to grow, rolling the jar or I take them out of the jar and tease them apart and then return them to the jar. I agree with vermontnl on when to eat for the best nutrients. I love the baby mung too, they are so sweet. If you want to grow them until the leaves come out then so be it, but the nutrient value is better when they are just 48 hours old. The nutrients are used up in the growing process, so eating the legumes early are best. Raelle wrightsprouts.co.nz

With my experience in sprouting seeds, if the seed is a dark colour then you can expect to find the soaking water to be slightly tainted with colour.
