Hi All, Does anyone know of any hair coloring products that are both safe and actually look good? If so, is there only but Henna? If Henna IS the only safe one out there, does it even look natural or does everyone who uses it have the same shade of red hair that looks unnatural? That is my perception (which could very well be a wrong one). Thanks guys and gals!

Wondering if sprouting raw peanuts, dehydrating them and then making them into nut butter is safe or not. Any feedback would be dandy. Thanks!

So, I've heard that honey is considered a non-vegan food. Why? Does anyone know? I've also heard that honey is crazy good for you. The "perfect" food. ?? What do you know/believe?

Wow, loving the feedback. Thanks guys. So, pborst, are you saying that even eating green beans fresh off of the vine is not a good idea unless they are mung or lentils??

I was searching to find out if raw asparagus are ok to eat. Can anyone tell me of a resource that they really trust to find these answers out. Answers, that is, to what plant foods are NOT ok to eat raw and why. ?? I am curious about several things, one being asparagus, another being sweet potato and yet another raw, fresh green beans (out of the garden - trying to decide whether to plant a

Wondering if there is a safe way to do canning with raw foods, such as tomatoes or raw spaghetti sauce?? I am NOT referring to fermented stuff. I know that that is different. Thanks, Mindy

ha ha John. Prana, I just ordered a sedona dehydrator yesterday. Once my eggplant is ready to pick, I think I will try the pizza. Now, I am just wondering if there is a way to "can" many quarts of RAW tomato sauce without cooking?? Anyone know?

Hooray!! We just ordered it yesterday! Can't wait to get it and start using it. I guess the price, for the model we bought, is usually $379 and they currently have it for $80 off, so for $299. Still VERY expensive in my opinion, but we then got a rebate check from Costco for $150, soooo, for a $379 dehydrator, we paid $149. NOT bad! This was my big purchase after having gotten our tax

Completely and totally depends on what kind of a head injury you are talking about here. A bump on the head? A concussion from a blow to the head?? What type of injury are you referring to?

I'm gonna guess $60 per week could work. However, my guesstimate is based on prices and produce that I get at my local Farmer's Mkt. The people that I buy from every Sat. have gotten to know me and because they know that I am a regular customer, most of them give me price breaks.

I am probably the last person to give advice about exercise, but I would guess that it really depends on what type of exercise you are doing and for how long.

vj - Thank you. I have heard of the wild yam and even used it many years ago when my periods were out of control, pain wise. I have heard the word Black Cohosh but that is far as my knowledge of it goes. Will have to look further into it. I wasn't sure if using herbs, when a raw foodist (or an aspiring one currently since I am only partially raw thus far) is encouraged or frowned upon. Pau

Had this done over a year ago. An ablation is when the physician goes in and cauterizes the tissue in the endometrial lining. If I had to do it all over again, I would not. But I was freaked out at the time since I just would not stop bleeding. Some of the less intense, more infrequent, hot flashes started even before the ablation. I have been having Peri-menopause symptoms including the fluct

Well, for one thing, I am in transition and would really like to make some homemade crackers. Would also like to grow several kakai pumpkin vines so that I can then use the meat to juice and use the seeds for eating and storing as this would both save me money and ensure that they are truly raw. Those are just a couple of eg.

I have been Peri-menopausal for many years now and believe that I have finally entered true menopause over the past week or two. Typically a woman knows that she has gone from being peri-meno to menopausal when her periods have been absent for one full year. In my case, however, I had an ablation procedure that stopped my bleeding for me, therefore I do not have that to use as my gauge. For a
