2 years later, I am replying to your comment! I am sorry. That is one helluva story of woe regarding your supplementing with Zinc. I sure hope you are back to normal. As to your questions, I don't want to give out too much advice except for obvious ones such as the ingestion of electrolytes. Everyone is different in what they can tolerate. So I have a question for you. I don't eat gr

It is easy to get fixed on ideas. Best thing is to try things and see for your self and learn from that. You have to try. No kidding!

QuotePanchito You can get lecithin made from sunflower seeds in powder form. It is probably not raw. It has less lecithin by weight than the soy lecithin. Lecithin is high, too high, in phosphorus.

Many modern humans were given childhood vaccinations that will limit their lifespans. A shortened lifespan is the least of the damage done by inoculations.

I too was wondering if a "multivitamin" would include plain b-complex. Easiest thing to do is just take the B12 separately and hope for good heath. There are so many factors deciding if you are healthy or not.

Dr. Greger has some strong opinions on Vitamin B12 supplementing: He's pretty mouthy, isn't he, though that is not a reason to automatically disbelieve (or believe) what he says. I dunno.

If we need to ingest only 2.4 mcg of B12 per day, why do the vast majority of B12 pills (or sprays) contain so much more? Apparently anything more than the recommended dose goes to waste. I'll own up to having watched only the last video on the topic of B12. Maybe the answer to my question is contained in the other videos. I do recall reading a lengthy article on B12 written by a scien

There's no parallel universe where we can see what a person would look like after decades of (1) a more "normal" diet and (2) a raw vegan diet. You choose one, you take your chances with it, and no one can conclusively state that he would have been way healthier (or sicker) if he'd eaten a more standard diet, or any one of the "health" diets out there (cooked vegan; vegetaria

Norman Walker would agree with you on the oatmeal being cloggy. He's no fan of heavy carb foods. Indeed, he even considers occasional animal fat (rich cream; goats milk; fish) to be preferable To him, heavy carbs (cooked starches) are the worst thing ever, and responsible for virtually all our health woes. He might be correct. I sure like his books, anyway. Have you read any of them?

Panchito, this is all quite interesting. I wasn't aware of some of those things you mention. When you speak of "refrigerated beans", do you mean fresh string or wax beans, or do you mean mature beans, such as black beans, kidney beans, navy beans, etc? According to old Chinese medicine, you should never consume anything icy or cold, straight out of the refrigerator or freezer,

Panchito - re your June 18th comment about supplements producing constipation. Has this been proved true? Or are there some people, maybe, who are constipation-prone for other reasons, and the supps you mention will slow them up even more. Re iron - the newer varieties of iron do not have a negative effect. I believe it's only the once popular iron sulfate pills.

The folks who consume a high saturated fat diet, in the context of a low- or no-carb diet will say otherwise. And they do say so, forcefully. #I. #II. Dr. Axe acknowledges that not all low-carb are necessarily high fat - though some healthy regimens are. #III. The opposite viewpoint (sort-of; read the whole article): Excerpt: It’s entirely possible

Somebody ought to send your info to the Weston Price Foundation. They are fixated on animal food because of its high concentration of nutrients, not understanding that there is a point of diminishing returns in all "good" things. For women who don't nurse their babies, they even have a substitute containing pureed raw liver. OY. DISGUSTING.

Yes, it seems to be about "intrinsic factor". "Allegedly". I wonder if there is a way to fundamentally heal the weakness in the stomach so that the body can manufacture intrinsic factor once again, ie, I assume that the person with low or no IF was not born that way, but that the deficiency wa acquired. Who knows what the real situation is. I do read everywhere that inje

Agreed that lentils are the easiest to sprout. However, for my part, I have to blanch all sprouts for a few seconds to get rid of that raw-bean taste. Even mung bean sprouts, but I guess it's just me because my son likes his sprouts raw. Different strokes, etc... I haven't had durian for years but I am going to take another crack at it. I found the smell bad but bearable.

But that's where I live in TN USA. Other locations have an entirely different selection of things and sometimes way less. Absolutely correct. Survival would hinge on just where you are. One thing for sure: determined meat lovers would, in short order, decimate anything that flies, walks, slithers, hops or crawls. In no time flat, they'd have to - horror of horros - look for plant food. LOL

Thanks. However, someone I know insists that she HAS to have injections after several years of being vegan, i.e., her digestion is so poor that B12 tablets or drops won't work. At least that is what the doctor told her and she just loves those injections.

I wonder what's meant by "purple" grapes (out of which they make juice). There's the small, strong-tasting, somewhat sour-ish ones (I've grown these and they have seeds). And then there's the other purple ones you can get in the stores but they are mild tasting and have no seeds. I would find it hard to believe that their glucose-fructose ratios would be the same.

But you want more energy? Go run up a mountain every day. Then, bathe naked in a WILD water source. Then get naked Sun/Light for at least 20 minutes on all sides of the body. You will be unstoppable.... Where do you get the energy to run up the mountain if you are feeling weak? I don't mean weak because you haven't eaten enough on one particular day, but chronic lack of high energy. There's

When you wake up, it is not from your circadian rhythm. It is cortisol. Cortisol comes up when the blood glucose is bellow a certain level. This allows for muscle breakdown to make more glucose and keep your brain alive. We should not allow our blood glucose to ever get that low. Maybe there is something to the idea of a bedtime snack, ie, so that you aren't hungry as a bear when you wake up

And that enjoying something alone is not to really enjoying it - holy cow, that's the 'people who need people' thing that really gets me. Advice - don't get emotionally involved with someone who is a 'people person', who is a 'people who need people' person. They're the 'lonely' people who are always 'lonely' even when they're with friends and have loads of family around them all the time. They c
