Hope you are consuming plenty of Omega 3 fatty acids. Vegan version is available in health food stores. This is so necessary for good brain function. Also, if you felt a desire for sugar you can undo any spiralling-out-of-control just by following it up with a goodsized gob of protein food. Basic science: carbos & protein balance each other. Have too much of one, and your smart body say

Just to be on the safe side, I take B12 (liquid - "Complementary Prescriptions" even tho I sometimes eat eggs. I read about folks who think they feel great w/out B12 even though they have been vegan for ages, then, Blammo! - the @#$%& hits the fan, the symptoms become more noticeable, and it is too late. It's not like the stuff is manufactured from cows' hooves or anything.

I would like to try green smoothies but I don't like the fact that blenders brutalize and actually heat the greens. There's no way vitamins can live thru that kind of treatment. So I am going to macerate the greens instead by using the processing function on my oldish Omega juicer and mix with water or juice. I'd like to know if anyone here has prepared green drinks that way.

How about essential fatty acids, specifically Omega 3's? I hear that mineral oil is a bad thing.

Many thanks for those links. Do they have a sizing chart if you have to order shoes (if there's no shop where one lives)? Regarding warm boots: I live in a place with ultracold winters and I can say for sure that the un-glamorous, loose-fitting boots with heavy felt liners is really the only way to go. Style be damned (in this case)! You have to be able to move your toes. The nice looking

Coco, do you have Earth brand or those expensive M.B.T. shoes? I don't think that even Earth boots cost $300, but the M.B.T.s do! Do you wear the vegan versions or the leather shoes? I am glad you can recommend negative heel shoes, as I feel attracted to them.

All well and good to hate the human species, but while we are going extinct, we, i.e., our children & grandchildren, will suffer terribly. It won't be a fun time where everyone just suddenly falls over dead. How many of you here have children, and would you like to see them slowly die of starvation and the other forms of degradation that neessarily go hand in hand with a slow extinction

Hi. Maybe someone can help me. I am interested in the above kind of shoe. Does anyone here wear them, and what has your experience been? As I see it, this kind of shoe would stretch your leg muscles in the back and thereby loosen your body up. What do you think? Many thanx.

Lois sort of summed it up. Canada is a madhouse. If you speak the truth on the internet about certain specially-protected minority groups, e.g. criminal behaviour over-representation, you get hauled in front of something called The Human Rights Tribunal. It is a sort of Court of Star Chamber. You are automatically guilty - no one ever brought up in front of this tribunal has ever had the c

The issue, as I understand it, is getting cobalt into your system. If there is no cobalt in the soil that grew your vegetables, there will be none in your vegetables and their bit of dirt from being unwashed, and no B-12 can be synthesized without the cobalt. Even then, some people lack the "intrinsic factor", a substance that ideally should be in your stomach, but in some people it

Hi, Vegan. I redid the test and, lo & behold, there was a bit of negative result (a tiny string). In any event, I regularly consume home-made pickles (cukes) made with only salt, garlic & a few spices & of course water (well water). Also, I place a grape or currant or cherry leaf into the jar to promote crispness. I tried to make sauerkraut but I have not as yet been successfu

Well, my spit did not misbehave. It just stayed at the top in a lump. However, I wonder if that means anything at all. I am curious as to how this test was devised; how does anyone really KNOW if it is a legitimate test for candida?

Carlson, what brand of nutritional yeast do you use? I use Gayelord Hauser yeast; it says "brewers" on the label, but it isn't really, I don't think, since true brewers yeast has that bitter beer-like smell & taste, as far as I know. Also, I heard that some yeast manufacturers top up their yeast with synthetic B-vitamins so that they can say all the B vitamins are equal in amoun

Have you heard (not saying it's true) that candida is a good thing to have if you are mercury-toxic, because the candida is surrounding the mercury in an attempt to protect your body from the damage that mercury does. So, as I see it, candida-removal and mercury-removal go together. If you interfere with one, you change the whole picture.

I am wondering how powerful an indoor-grown wheatgrass would be. Wheat is not an indoor plant, nor was it ever meant to be, regardless of fertilizer or intensity of artificial light. I grew my wheatgrass in the garden in lovely rich soil with the sun shining all day and wind and forces of nature in general - and boy, did it pack a punch or what!

Re algin (sodium alginate extracted from seaweed): It does not coax mercury out of the tissues; rather, it gathers up and send out of the body (thru bowel) any mercury in the intestines that was extracted from the tissue by other means, eg, cilantro. If you take a chelating substance such as cilantro, the mercury may not all be excreted, as I understand it. Instead, it may recirculate and be

It's not good enough for Huggins to say that "vegetarians can't heal". Maybe he is right, but then maybe not. He would have to explain exactly why. Is it an insufficiency of amino acids in an ordinary veg diet? Is it certain essential fats? Certain minerals that are more likely to be found in meat? I'd be interested to know his reasoning.

Have you thought of going to a forum where that (mercury fillings & detox) is all they talk about? I know of one but I don't know if you are allowed to post other sites' names here. Whatever you do, when you are detoxing, fillings in or fillings out, Algin is the best thing going.
