This is my first time growing wheat grass, and it's almost ready to be harvested. But, after I've harvested the grass, should I just allow the grass to grow again, or do I need to recycle the soil? I imagine I will have to replace the soil at some point.

If I turn an almond so that it's edges are between my molars, when I bite it splits in half and the result tastes better to me.

I heard that people used to eat before they knew how to make fire.

Things are not quite as overt as I maybe make it sound. Would you bring a durian to work and eat it without worrying that some people might really not like the smell? Probably not, I would think. It would depend on who you are working with. Broccoli and Cabbage have similar sulfur type smells if you blend or juice them, or munch on them. Where I live, it is legal to fire an employee for any or

I'm now subtly reposting my message from the juice forum, in a different form. I hope you'll forgive me. I'm suffering shock having to work in an office for the first time in 7 years, when I used to work from home. My raw diet (I'm a novice) has for the most part been that I take plants and stuff them into my mouth (or I juice them or blend them with water). Broccoli and cabbage are kind of my

Hi, I'm a raw novice. My raw eating has usually been sort of grazing behavior. So there hasn't been an obvious point to stop and wash my mouth out. How much of an issue do you think this is? I rarely eat citrus fruit.

I worked from home for the last many years. I'm used to using the bathroom 10 or so times per day. The thing is that I used to work from home, now I work in an office and I'm very self-conscious. I desperately need to keep my job. Do you have any tips for not looking weird? I think I will have to do less juice/liquid drinking. Similarly, I like cabbage, broccolli, collard greens. Things that m

I had my gallbladder removed yesterday, after having my second event of severe abdominal pain. I posted about the first episode earlier when the doctors thought it might be acid reflux. They found out that I have gallbladder disease (via ultrasound) and my body cavity had a lot of puss in it and my gallbladder was hardening. The interesting thing is that this is supposedly a typical side-ef

Well, today I've had aches in my legs like I'm sick and I've had no stomach pain. So I suspect it is some sort of illness rather than acid reflux. Maybe it's e coli... Anyway, I eat almost the same thing every day which is a quarter of a cabbage, a stock of broccoli, a couple of carrots, 2 leaves of collard greens, 2 bananas, 2 apples, 3 medjool dates, 2 16 oz glasses of grapefruit juice and c

Yesterday I had very bad pain in or above my stomach and around to my back, and I went to the hospital because it was so painful. The doctor said that it was either acid reflux or a reaction to food or a virus... I don't have pain today, but now I'm worried. One of my worries is that it could be acid reflux as a result of drinking grapefruit juice. I usually have about 32 oz of grapefruit juic

Occasionally, when I buy certified organic kale or collards, they are very salty. Do you know if people spray some sort of salty solution on their organic crops? I've tried and failed to wash off any residue, so maybe there is no residue, and greens are just salty sometimes. But, it's much more salty than cooked food I used to eat, after I would add table salt to it.

Oops. I guess 2400mg is the amount you aren't supposed to exceed. According to , I need 500mg to meet requirements, which seem easier to meet, maybe even just from vegetables. Even so, the signs of sodium deficiency are hair falling out and mustle aches, neither of which I desire.

Hi, I'm obese (206 lb 5ft 7in male). I've been eating mostly raw plants for a month and a half I think, maybe more. I'm not vegan or vegetarian yet, though I'm heading in that direction. I eat fruits and vegetables raw, some cooked grains and some cottage cheese. I'm far below what I read I'm supposed to be consuming in terms of calories, but I feel okay for now (better than ever, actually), a
