Thanks so much everyone, you guys really are the best. Things are going much better than expected. We told the kids yesterday. We kept it upbeat and talked about it being a new adventure for our family. We went to Goodwill and got some things for Daddy's new apartment. The kids were actually smiling. That was a huge relief for my husband, who worries about about everything. I think the

"I was always told that the Fruit of the Tree of Knowledge was an apricot, so from childhood, I always fell upong apricots ravenously, thinking, "take that, you passive aggressive, paternalistic, meanie of a God, you!" Well, maybe not in exactly those terms. But I did get a perverse, primal pleasure out of eating "sin." Apricots are still one of my favorite fruits. And re

David Carradine's death was a real shocker. I was surprised at how surprised I was at MJ's death. He didn't seem like the healthiest person. Your mom is cute Jodi.

Thanks guys. your support is so appreciated. Wy, No, my husband is not a raw foodist. His diet goes back and forth between healthy and really bad with his moods. When he is happy he eats really well, when he gets depressed he goes back to eating really bad foods including cow and pig, fried foods and lots of junk. His weight goes up and down by about 15 pounds a lot. I believe this m

My husband and I are separating. I have known for a long time that some things are wrong with him and I realized, after all the healing I have done, that I just can't live with the stress of his issues and he refuses to admit how serious his problems are. I am convinced he has some form of bipolar or some other medical problem that is similar. We have been in counseling and he lies and manipul

Gary. My symptoms are mild now. The abdominal mass has shrunk to about a tenth of what it was and it is hard to find now. I have a little bit of thrush and and vaginal yeast and that is pretty much it. I believe those two symptoms are due to my body eleminating the mass, which is nearly over. I have only seen a doctor twice for my condition. She sent me to have cancer tests done and wan

Eating low fat is a lot easier than I thought it would be. I suggest eating fruit all day and/or salad and then cooked veggies, brown rice, quinoa and beans at night until you transition to all raw, if that is your goal. Some days you could just eat all fruit, that is what I do a lot. I felt better right away after cutting fat.

I thought David Letterman's comments about Palin's daughter was over the line. I know he thought he was talking about her older daughter, but it doesn't change my feelings about it. I don't even have TV any more since the dtv switch. Only videos and DVD's for us now.

I had a severe case of candida and have sugar sensitivities. I have no sensitivities to fruit, only processed sugar. I can even eat a few dates with no reaction at all. I get spacey and dizzy if I eat processed sugar. Not a pleasant feeling at all...even a little nauseous. It makes me feel sick just to walk down the cake isle at the market now. My candida is almost gone now. I had an abdomi

I felt sad seeing Joaquin on Letterman too. Being a lifelong fan of Johnny Cash (he was my first musical love beginning at four) I was so thrilled at the job he did playing him. I had liked him in Signs a lot too. He seems so genuine in his roles. He is handsome to boot.

WY, I think I like all his movies, even those old silly ones. But Gran Torino was really touching and ironic. It was also intense and funny as well.

"Oh brother Where Art Thou" is a fav of mine too. We have the movie and the soundtrack. The kids love the soundtrack. WY, I think Gran Torino is Eastwood's best movie yet. I would like to know what you think after you see it.

The kids and I just finished reading THE SECRET GARDEN and then watched the movie. There were so many differences I felt would have been better if left like the book. We all liked the movie very much any way and the book...well we loved it!!!!

Meganbubbs, Nice idea. I will always keep that in mind. Thanks. Thanks to you too Tamukha. My daughter did great during the class. Something weird happened while I was there though. I was listening to some women who work in the building. Two of them were telling another woman that they were touring the art exhibit on the third floor and they both got so dizzy and sick feeling they h

Thanks Tamukha. These are things that have worked well for us. Quinoa is 40% protein. Avocado and oils have fats. I think my kids eat too much fat. I have cut down on the nuts I buy and I have noticed an improvment in their health. As for your stepson, I wouldn't give up yet. My nephew was just as bad as your SS sounds and he turned it around drastically at 16. He became vegetaria

Make yummy raw food and offer to share it. Fruit smoothies are a great choice. I would suggest berries and bananas for picky eaters. If you eat enough fruit smoothies in front of them they are going to want it too. When you make your cooked meals I would gradually make them more and more healthy. Whatever healthy foods your stepson will eat I would make that a lot. Talk to him about what is
