The 2 lbs of cherries I had for desert after my banana lunch were excellent, the first good batch so far. Can't wait for the yellow ones. And there's usually a watermelon waiting to be cut up and eaten in the sunshine when I come home.

I wash my tomatoes with a veggie wash. Doesn't that solve the problem? Is the salmonella on the inside?? What gives?

I tried to copy the salad in your pic Suvine but I thought those were unhulled sesame seeds. I used a big avo too but no beans. Not the best food combining I know. I slept for 11 hours after that one but it was so-o-o good.

When there is unease or craving in my life I quickly forget that being raw is a gift, not a burden. Figuring out what's causing the anxiety is and dealing with it and myself p-a-t-i-e-n-t-l-y is what gets me through. And allowing myself the room to make mistakes. Letting go of being raw means going backwards and is guaranteed to bring on bad mental physical and spiritual health much worse tha

Sanik, You have a Vitamix??? Let that be your bridge to the raw food diet. If you can at least have a green smoothie (favourite tender greens blended with oranges and or pears, mangos or other favourite fruit) every day your are making progress. Or throw a few ripe bananas in with a cup of frozen strawberries for when you're hungry mid day. Be patient with yourself.

The 9 tray is huge if you're just deydrating for one or two people. It's large too, at least the size of a microwave and you can hear the fan so I keep mine in the basement.

Take some thinly sliced sweet onions and marinate in lime juice agave and sea salt till soft. Dehydrate for 3 hours. Use as pizza topping or on a salad. Light and almost crispy and very flavourful. The best thing I think I've ever tasted out of a dehydrater - and no fat! I had them on a raw pizza I tried at a potluck last week. The girl who made them said she also takes the leftover marinade j

Simple Living, >>Matt Monarch had to leave New Zealand because the air pollution.<< He did not have to leave New Zealand, just a busy city he was a guest speaker in. He and Angela Stokes are happily staying in a place on the beach far from the city now and he says the air is so clean there that he experienced detox symptoms shortly after arriving. This I got from his blog.

I just thinking that too. I shop most every day. I hate it when I run out of ripe bananas. I have to remember to buy them days ahead because it's hard to find ripe ones in the store especially in the winter. Avocados have to be timed right too. I'm used to the shopping now though. On the plus side I don't have to buy bags and bags of stuff, just one or two a day. It's a quick in and out of

According to Matt Monarch in his latest book he says that our bodies stablize if we eat healthy raw and gradually evolve to desire less and less food as our cells become cleaner and cleaner. If we allow it to it seems as if our bodies follow a path of healing over the years to states of health which include a diet that may seem odd to many of us.

Frederick Patenaude and Doug Graham are two gurus I trust for the basics. In the beginning don't eat nuts/seeds mindlessly, you may give yourself temporary IBS. Soak them and eat them in moderation. Experience hunger once a day, it's a good thing. Say no to yourself once a day. I still have to say no to myself on a regular basis or I can easily start to backslide (and I do) and it's bee

I ate A LOT of bing cherries a while back and they gave me some diarreah. I'm not sure why because I eat a lot of fruit. I look at it as a cleansing reaction by my body when stuff comes out fast and liquid (sorry) :< If I watch my fat intake there are less problems all around.

If you haven't found out already through research on your own Simple Living, mono eating is easy on the digestion and you digest more efficiently vs a meal with 5 or more ingredients plus an overt fat like oil. I mono eat througout the day and have my more complex meal at the end of the day. I feel best that way. Don't worry about making a mistake at this stage. You will make all the correcti

I felt clean in a place in my body I never expected to after a couple of colonics I had done during my Hulda Clarke period several years ago. I even tried a green coffee enema on myself once at the urging of a friend who was into raw foods then. Whenever I read Matt Monarch/Fred Bisci I always want to do it again but I read this so I'm always waffling -
