I'm looking for a natural foods market on the upper east side of Manhattan that offers a good selection of quality organic produce. Anyone know of one? There seems to be places everywhere in the city except for the upper east side.

A friend of mine claims instant pain relief from sore throat with urine. He does not swallow it. If interested, I will find out the particulars for you as there is a special technique he uses. He also irrigates with urine using a neti pot.

I've been getting my ro water from the ro dispenser at Whole Foods & it tastes pretty bad. Wheatgrass Yogi thinks it might be because they don't keep the filters clean enough.

Does anyone know how pure Brita water is? I've tried distilled water sold in plastic & RO water from a Whole Foods dispenser & neither is acceptable nor am I in a position to install a new water system in my home.
For those who know, what is the least toxic way to disinfect a water jug between uses?

It all depends on the root causes of the psychological issues. While it is true that a healthy dietary & lifestyle can rebalance the chemistry of our brain, it is not a panacea, particularly if psychological issues have their roots elsewhere. That said, optimal nutrition will no doubt assist in one's overall feeling of well-being.

Are they in-shell nuts? If so, you might not need to refrigerate them at all depending upon when they were harvested & the ambient temperature & humidity levels. If they're relatively fresh & it's not too warm or humid & you expect to consume them fairly soon, I wouldn't worry about refrigeration. Longer than a month or so, I'd probably refrigerate them.

it will not only arrest the further development of the canker sore but you will see improvement very quickly.
Witch hazel should be a part of every first aid kit. I reach for it every time I suffer an injury, even if it's musculoskeletal. It's very healing.

I'm posting this based on having read your initial post only.
Here's a blended salad recipe that's always been a hit even with my non-raw friends. The only fruit ingredients are tomato, red pepper and whole lemon.
The amounts included will make approx 3 cups. I use only organic.

WY, perhaps they're all similar but the one you posted the link to is just like the one I've seen in a local Mexican produce market. I browsed for prices & the cheapest I found was $1500.00; however, I didn't look extensively. Perhaps one can find a cheaper one used.

I've been told it requires a special machine built only for sugar cane & it's quite costly.
I've tasted the juice once or twice. It's like drinking pure sugar. Too concentrated for me.

I live in a sub-tropical climate on the water & although I've been 100% raw for thirteen years, they still feast on me if given the chance. If you're willing to use an effective topical, try Basic H. Not sure what's in it but Shaklee makes it (it must be the original formula, not Basic H2.) The other topicals I've tried are worthless.

A friend of mine is eating fresh garlic which I find very offensive. I cannot get within four feet of him without wanting to puke. He tells me my reaction is because I'm toxic. To me it's a preposterous assessment. I'm curious if anyone else has ever heard this anywhere.

I have an appointment in a few weeks with a holistic dental office to have my teeth
cleaned. They did a lot of restorative work on my mouth last year & it's time for me to go back for my regular six-month cleaning. Their fee for a basic cleaning is $95. Another local dentist here charges $29 but they are not holistic.
