I don't have an answer to your question, I just have another question. :-) Why not eat okra raw? I LOVE raw okra. Even as a cooked vegan, I always preferred raw okra. Is there some kind of digestive issues with the okra raw? I eat it just like snow peas. I can't wait until they are in season here!

maui_butterfly: What do you mean your lentil sprout pate attempt was "horrible"? Was it a runny consistency? Or would they not blend? What kind of lentils are you using? I know cooked lentils have a difference in texture (red lentils are mushier and don't retain shape like green or brown lentils would). I don't know if sprouted lentils, depending on the color, would have a di

I'm new to this forum, kinda. I joined last year. Today, I made a RAWsome dinner I just wanted to share. I'm glad this post is here. I guess you'd call it tacos, but it was SO much better than the average person's tacos.

Is it possible to sprout with just a collander and cheesecloth? I was trying to sprout black-eyed peas this way. Only like 5 sprouted small tails. I don't really want to shell out money for some fancy jars and stuff. I do have some jars. I have been reading some information about sprouting, I'm just looking for the simplest way to do it.
