It takes a while to get back into your "comfort zone" with such major changes going on. I felt like I was in shock for the first couple of weeks. Although it was exciting at the same time. Do organic when you can, but don't beat yourself up if you can't. Raw is the thing. Stick with the raw stuff, even when you can't afford the organic. I had the same problem. As time has passed,

For those of you who have purchased a 3-hp blender: was it worth the money? Did you feel any increase in well-being, that you were getting more nutrition from your blended foods and smoothies? Got a little debate going on with the hubby. Would like your opinions. Thanks! Life Is Good! alive!

Dream Earth, do you have any documentation concerning your statement about sprouting for 7 days? I've found that sprouting for 24 hrs is enough time and keeps them from being bitter. Also, I pulse them around a couple of times in the food processor, pour them out into a collander and then rinse them again. Then, back into the food processor to make into humus. I have tried both, and I prefer parchment paper. I use it for my raw crackers and cookies. I am able to peel off the paper without any sticking problems - just go slowly. I have found that food dries faster with parchment paper than with teflex sheets. Life Is Good! alive!

I thought maybe I could switch to lentils and get my concentrated protein from them. So - whatcha think? Thanks! Life is Good! alive!

Does anyone have a recipe for sprouted lentil dip or pate? Any other recipes calling for sprouted lentils? They seem to be a nice alternative to nuts - with a "stick to the ribs" kind of feel to them - with less fat than seeds and nuts. I've been eating too much fat. Thanks! Life Is Good! alive!

Hey there, Sophies! I haven't worked the 12 steps for food, but I work them for alcohol ( 6 yrs). And I'm about 95% raw ( 1 1/2yrs.) This would be a good opportunity to practice moderation. It is very easy to become obsessed with "RAW". Maybe a more gradual approach would be a more stable experience for you. The "black or white", all or nothing approach has caused m
