Forward movement, shifts. Soon you will be back home and you can care for your mom there. For me, being in the environment that supports me, is best for me. Love to you.

Hi Jodi, Everyday is a struggle for me but I am doing well now. It takes me about 3 weeks to feel more confident with myself about sticking to that which supports me in my well being. In the moment and by each moment I choose. I am sure you will also. I agree that creating a positive support network is important. We all support you. Peace, Faeterri

I want your thoughts. My doctor wants me to do it. Since I stopped menstruating, hormones have shifted, I am really not suffering any, but my bowel habits have changed. Even with eating pure, organic, raw, and whole. Risks, experiences, etc?

I had alot of reservations about combining fruits with vegetables but then learned that the green smoothies are fruit and LEAFY greens. That's what makes all the difference. In nature the leaf and fruit are together. Other vegetables (starchy roots or fruits like zucchini) I consider to be fruits and may make smoothies with them and greens, a savory, not sweet, smoothy.

I overwinter some root crops and just harvested a fresh, juicy, sweet, large carrot yesterday from the garden as soon as the snow was gone. Yummy!

Moving FORWARD, the only way to go. Taking care of oneself, food, rest, movement. The best is yet to come. I believe that for myself.

Yes, happy spring equinox! It has been springlike here in northern VT for over a week now. The snow is going and I was able to get into my garden. I overwintered carrots and was able to harvest (easily) a large, sweet, and crisp carrot yesterday, yummy.

What I have learned in life is that when I do something that does not support my best interests in well being (eating stuff that makes me bloated, etc.), I then choose to do what does support me. I am grateful for when I fall, for how would I know the difference. Live and learn, acknowledge, grow, and cherish life. Love feeling good!

Hi I have had similar issues at times. Exercise is good for me, even if it is just a 5 minute walk. Breathing, deep breaths, is also helpful. And I chew a lot (of gum, or spruce gum, or grass). Anything to not stuff food in my mouth. And I like the suggestion of lots of fruit. If you want/need to keep eating because of school stress, how about eating on just on fruits or vegetables. How

A dry seed contains all the nutrition to support the growth of a new seedling for about the first week or two. The concentrated carbohydrate, fats and proteins get digested by enzymes in the seed to break the proteins into their amino acids, the fats into fatty acids and glycerol, and the carbs into simple sugars (monosaccharides). Eating the sprouts gives you this predigested simple nutrition,

Sprouting is pretty easy, especially lentils... Soak lentils in water overnight (8 hours). Drain, rinse and drain again. The following day there should be little tails. Refrigerate for storage. I also like clover sprouts, done like alfalfa, but with a more crisper texture. I do mine by soaking clover seeds 4-6 hours in a wide mouth jar with screen lid. Drain, rinse, drain. Then I rinse

Hi everyone, As you have seen I have posted on this site a few times. Just want to formally say hello. I am 50, live in Vermont, first got involved with raw foods with Ann Wigmore back in the late 70s. I am not 100%. I found this site when I was having some health issues in the autumn and thought I need to get back to real eating. I like all the support I read here and just want to say,

Suspendedindefinitely: I usually compost after the first cut because I have gotten the most nutrition of the grass. I would consider additional cuttings if I fertilized with kelp or other seaweed.

First of all, sunflower: for sprouts with just a little tail, sprout hulled sunflower seeds. If the hulls are still on, I grow sunflower greens on soil and then remove the hulls when ready (they kind of pop off). Next, hemp is cannibas, so is marijuana. They are just different varieties. Hemp has a stronger fiber component, and I am sure you know the other. Lastly, removing hulls (shells

Sure you can grow wheat berry sprouts in a jar and eat them when they just have a tiny tail. Wheatgrass is another process. To simplify things I use the bottom of clay pots, you know the water catcher. I fill it with soil, moisten the soil, place my wheatberry sprouts in a single layer on top, cover with another clay bottom for an extra day, uncover, check if it needs to be wat

Yes, I understand. When I get off of good food and feel terrible again, I go through a list of, no this, no that, etc. and do it one at a time and within about 3 weeks I am back on track. I support you and all those (me too) who need to remember that we can do it for our best well being. Faeterri

As you switch to raw foods there will be days you may not feel well for you are cleansing. You may want to look at transition foods to ease this reaction. Peace be with you.

Yes, wheatgrass is very sweet and also very strong medicine. I have to take the juice at night before bed or I will have a strong cleansing reaction. Instead I like to just chew on a bunch of blades throughout the day, almost like chewing grass like a farmer ha ha. This is much less wheatgrass than if juicing it. Please try it. I think it is wonderfully healthy.

One does not need to use soil, for the germinations get what they need from the seed up to about 14 days. This is the most nutritious time for harvesting for nutritional value also, between 7-14 days. Many large wheatgrass companies, those that dehydrate their product for use as a supplement, continue to cut and grow for quite a while. Then minerals from soil or other fertilizers need to be th

Not being there it's hard to tell, but being a grower, looks like this batch got a little over watered, yes, I think it's mold. Talk to who you bought it from.

Also, in what containers are you getting your water in, plastic. Distilled water in plastic probably contains plastic components. I also use RO water that I make myself. The cost of the unit was less than buying water. It also does not use electricity, but there is waste water. And then I store the water in glass.

Plants will take up minerals if pH is right for uptake. Rock dusts and compost are great for soil as is diversity of micro-organisms. Green mulches (cut weeds) help return nutrients to soil as well as help keep weeds down and encourage aeration and micro-organism activity. Someone suggested to me that placing rocks of different types around the garden introduced energetically nutrients to ne
