Ok...but so what? Around 30,000 people get salmonella each year from meat: While good to know, let's keep this in perspective!

Whatever flavor of diet or lifestyle you choose, make sure you're eating a balanced diet. It's easy to poo-poo nutrients because we all think we have the "perfect" diet, but there are MANY versions of both raw and SAD, so use a food diary like (free) to track & make sure you're getting what you need.

If you're curious as to what you actually ARE deficient in, use a food diary app like (free) to track everything you eat for a week. Then you'll get a much more realistic idea of the possible nutrient-based causes of your fatigue.

I find that if sprouted grains are thoroughly blended into whatever I'm making, they don't get too dry. If you make crackers or something & don't blend everything up enough, you'll have dry, unpleasant, nubbly chunks

I can't give you YOUR answer, but I can say that as for me, I'm with a SAD eater, and although our meals differ, he's very supportive and knows how to make a lot of my favorite dishes. There is more to my life than food. Although that aspect of our relationship differs, we have other things in common that we focus on. I hope you will make the right choice for yourself and be at peace with your

Personally I prefer reverse osmosis water because this process actually removes the fluoride from water (among other things...but most filtration processes can't remove fluoride). If you're not familiar with the dangers of fluoride:

Reminds me of when I first learned peanut butter with palm fruit oil wasn't sustainable. Used to be a favorite food as a kid, and I was quite upset by this. Live & learn

Nothing super special for me, but I'll share... Apart from the regular getting-ready-for-the-day stuff, for me it's mostly making a smoothie or some other quick breakfast thingy, walking the dog, and then getting started with the day. I tend to exercise in the afternoon/evening more, but that's just me. Sure helps with the energy at that end of the day

People generally gain weight because they consume more calories than they burn off. DEFINITELY don't stop exercising, but you WILL liely need more calories. Get some favorite high-calorie staples like this banana breakfast: or this granola: , or even this chocolate pie:

First of all, kudos for being able to make a change even while everyone around you isn't on board. Second, the best thing you can do for yourself, if you're like most people, is transition gradually to a new lifestyle change...makes it more likely to stick!

Not sure how juicing is bad for you. I suppose if you drink sweet juices and no greens you might feel a little funny from all the uninhibited sugar, but there are so many stories out there of people making medically-verified recoveries from chronic conditions using juice fasting...like this one:

Personally, I feel better in general when I eat more greens. Green smoothies, green salads, you name it. It makes sense, since the composition of chlorophyll in all those greens has so many of the elements that our blood is built from.

Sure! I'm female & about a decade older than you, so I might eat a bit differently than you're aiming to, but here is a sample, based on real life, so you'll see it's fairly simple since I'm fairly busy: == *Breakfast* Smoothie with mango, banana, orange, carrot, lime, dates, & coconut Maybe also some raw cereal made with coconut, raisins, banana, vanilla, cinnamon, almonds, et

Re: about Trader Joe's staff, above: That's surprising to me...I've always been quite impressed by the staff at Trader Joe's, in several locations. They go out of their way to help me, and I'm often pulled into a new line at the register if the one I'm in is long. No one's paying me to say this, either, I just like the place, and they've always treated me better than...really, any other store

Do you think raw food wakes you up? Absolutely Does it make you different (after maybe years)? I feel different...more energy & clarity of thought. Do people see you different (body and mind)? Not sure, it was pretty gradual for me. I never was "unhealthy" or overweight, so any physical changes would be minimal. Do you see people different? Nope. And I prefer to s

Personally? As much as you're hungry for, assuming you know how to listen to your body. For thousands of years, humanity managed to survive by listening to our bodies. I find I do best when eating a lot of greens, regardless of the fat content of anything paired with them that day. Sometimes I'm hungry for fruit. Sometimes I want avocados. It really just depends.
