Tjenare Gurkan! I am also in Sweden (Stockholm). When I lived in Gbg, there was an amazing fruit store, EcoStore, that I went to a lot, but now that I have moved to Stockholm, I've had trouble finding good organic shops. I can send you a link to a webshop I sometimes use in Sweden: www.rawfoodshop.se Otherwise, I buy really good chocolate from funkyraw.com. I have some spirulina. I th

Hey Paul, I think your inbox is full or something, so I want to ask you this here. Hopefully you will see it. We discussed a bit about the hip. institute and I was wondering if you could help put me in touch with a dentist there, a creator of something called periopaste. It should be very interesting to speak with him! Thank you, Peisi

I am not usually such a fan of the powders either, but some of my closest raw vegan friends swear by the stuff (spirulina), and they aren't trying to sell something to me to make a profit. I believe them that it works! Oh but at such a cost, haha. Honestly though, if I can't make the stuff taste better, then I won't stick to it. I was thinking, maybe make a clamato-type raw drink with it,

Alright, so... like the faithful little raw veggie-head I am, I had to try it. Spirulina, the superfood of superfoods, hahah So... Not really knowing how to eat this stuff, I, of course, went to youtube and watched the first video of Wolfe, and he instructed his viewers to mix a spoonful with water and drink it down. Hahhahaha wow... It was so gross, I'd say sort of like how a sidewal

For Justin1- It is true, at least as far as I know, that fruits are not addictive. However, the banana is actually a herb. Check this out: Debbietook- yes, the word "perverted palate" did "offend" me, as I am sure anyone who is told that they have a perverted palate would get upset. It is not a positive word to describe something. Common sense, I'd say. That is why I un

To all those who think that their palate is less "perverted" because they have been raw for some time, I have to be extremely sceptical. And even a bit offended at the egocentrism. Being a raw vegan does not make you so divine. Raw vegans still get disease. Raw vegans still get sick. Raw vegans still get chocolate cravings. I have both seen it on others, and experienced it myse

I get complete bloodwork, which includes my hemoglobin count, iron: readily available and stored iron, vit b12, folate, niacin, etc etc. My doctor also knows that I am studying to be a dentist, and we have a very similar medical base, so he walks through all my test results with me and gives me quite specific advice on what I can do to change the numbers through what I eat, and what foods I comb

Flipperjan- I feel that even people who don't fuss about their diet should get their bloodwork checked often (meaning yearly). It is one of the best ways to catch disease early and to show you where you need to tweak your diet to have optimal nutrition. xxPeisi

Well, there you have it. If eating 15 bananas at a sitting isn't a sign of some sort of addiction.... Why not guzzle down some corn syrup? It will probably get you there faster.

flipperjan- even as a vegetarian, I monitored my bloodwork. It isn't that hard and it doesn't take much time either. (And in Sweden, it is free! )

debbie- with the same logic, you could say that a person who has eaten burgers for quite some time and enjoys 15 burgers isn't overeating. It is listening to the body. Right?

Hey Bryan- I remember you discussing a lot about how, while you were detoxing, you slept quite a lot. Can you tell me roughly how much you slept, over how long a period of time, and how many periods of time there were? Also, did you ever get your blood values checked for things like low iron? Or was the fatigue more a psychological thing? Thanks!! xxPeisi

I have another question for this topic! Where I am from, in Sweden, the sun goes up at about 9:30-10 a.m and it goes down at 6:30 pm... I am a dental student, and I need to eat more than once a day for my mind to function properly, but I also go to bed at around 9pm at night so I can wake up and train before my classes start. How would you recommend I solve this problem, of eating when the su

Hello Paul Nison I find this post to be very interesting. You seem to know a bit about the scientific research going on in the raw food realm, and I would be very appreciative if you could send me some links, on here or to my private mail, where I could read any scientific articles that the experienced people you've listed have had published in a reasonably respected journal. I am not in

Hi there guys! I just want to see how many people on here, if any, are dealing with this: I have a sleeping disorder which is already messing with my concentration and focus, and in the long term, will affect my heart. I hold my breath in my sleep, or rather, I pause from breathing. However, what I have is not sleep apnea, as I do not snore, and there is no blockage preventing me from breat

Hey everyone! You'd think that being a northern girl, the cold wouldn't phase me... But it does... The last few months, I have had a work-injury that has put my back out, making it almost impossible for me to move... I have stopped drinking tea, so without movement and heat from the tea, I feel freezing all the time. It is making raw very difficult for me. I was just hoping for some words

I didn't think fruitarians ate veggies... I thought they only eat fruit which fell off the trees? A fruitarian told me this once- they only ate what was ripe and what the plants "gave" to them. I thought the whole thing sounded a bit too romantic, but to each his own... Isn't the point of fruitarianism to only eat the fruit and not the plant? I guess not hehe sorry, didn't know.

Sometimes, I have a fruitarian-pause to recharge as well. I know I will never be a longterm fruitarian because I really love my greens, but sometimes it is nice to have the light cleansening feeling of a fruit fast... When I do this, I don't eat avocadoes or nuts either... Mostly pineapples, oranges, and grapes - my all-time favs. xxpeisi
