Raw is always better of course, but light steaming is the least "harmful" method of cooking. All the best, Audrey www.rawhealing.com

I am so excited!! I just have to share! I kept hearing about it and it finally happened to me!! This month was the first month after 2 plus years raw and one year 100% simple, high fruit, low fat raw that I got my period and had ZERO PMS and cramps!! I am so happy!! My periods did get better over the past two years, but this month was so easy! YAY for raw! I love it!!! In light, Audrey w

Dehyrdated foods are less than ideal but are a fine choice for new and transitioning raw fooders who want/need to replicate some cooked food flavors and sensations. Of course, fresh is always better. but dehydrated is much better than cooked food. Once you have been raw for awhile and especially if you have been eating a simpler, fresh diet, you will definitely notice that you don't feel as well

Hello there, First of all, don't be afraid to eat fruit, it will keep you feeling satisfied if you eat more fruit throughout the day actually. You might be bingeing simply because you haven't eaten enough during the day. But bingeing often has an emotional cause. You might want to examine what is going with your emotions and state of mind when you binge and see if you can find a pattern. Are

Hello there, I agree with Brian, If you really want to lose weight the best way is to lower your fat intake, up your fruit intake and up your exercise. You will get there! All the best, Audrey www.rawhealing.com

Hello, I've never measured it, but I feel the best on a very low fat, high fruit diet. Too much fat makes me feel tired and sluggish and gives me dry skin and yeast problems. I eat about one avocado per week. The rest of the fat I get is what occurs naturally in fruits and veggies, which contain a lot more fat than most people think. Hello there, Welcome and congratulations on finding raw! You are about to embark on a wonderful journey that can lead you to health and happiness! Just start by eating fruits and veggies! :-) You don't have to make it complicated. You don't need to bother with sprouts or sprouting, there is nothing in them that we can't get from other greens and vegetables. Just eat what you like and enjoy. I

I also find that it disagrees with me. It is way too stimulating for me. I felt very agitated and tense after having some. Raw carob is chocolatey and yummy and doesn't over-stimulate the same way cacao does. All the best, Audrey www.rawhealing.com

Well, they are not well combined and of course dehydrated is never as ideal as fresh, but if they keep you from making worse choices, like eating cooked, then by all means keep eating them. :-) Take care, Audrey www.rawhealing.com

You might just need to do some food combining. Don't eat melons with anything else and don't eat fats with fruit. That might be enough to solve your problem. :-) Take care, Audrey www.rawhealing.com

Hi there, I've been a nanny for awhile and love to experiment with yummy fruit concoctions that little ones love. Banana blended with mangoes is always a favorite. Bananas blended with just about any fruit goes over really well actually. :-) Take care, Audrey www,rawhealing.com

Hi Gram, Like I said, fruits and veggies do contain fats, look some up. You'd be surprised. For example check out watermelon: 89%Carbohydrates 7%Protein 4%Fat. There is no need to worry about getting enough fat in your diet. We really need very little. You might want to read Dr. Graham's FAQ section at his website www.foodnsport.com. Hi there, You can do it!! Changing ones diet can be much more difficult than we first imagined. Emotional eating patterns are usually very deeply established and we need to learn to separate eating for nurishment from eating for many other reasons. For many of us, food has been our best friend for a long time, it is always there when we need it, it comforts us, helps us celebrate, helps us mo

Hi guys, Please don't be afraid of fruit!!! Fruit is our natural diet. Any problems encountered on a raw diet that include fruit is not due to eating fruit! I promise! :-) It can be due to many other factors (usually too much fat in the diet). Please do some more research. Check out these sites in addition to Gosia's. :-) Being able to eat luscious, juicy, delicious fruit IS the best part of

Hi Gramlin, That means all overt (obvious) fats..all seeds, nuts, oils, avos, olives, durians. Fruit and greens do contain some fat but not enough to cause problems when you are trying to heal from candida. Take care, Audrey www.rawhealing.com

Please don't be afraid of fruit. It is our natural food. If you were feeling spacey and tired it was probably due to other issues (detoxing, or too much fat in your diet). Please see the FAQ section on Dr Graham's website www.foodnsport.com and/or read The Raw Secrets by Frederic Patenaude for more info. Take care, Audrey www.rawhealing.com

Hi there, You have two choices, you can either eat a veggie based, higher fat diet or a fruit based diet with no overt fats (avos, nuts, seeds, durians, oils). Sugar in fruit is only a problem when too much fat is in the bloodstream. Dr. Graham has helped many people get rid of their candida issues in a short period of time (a few days to a few weeks) by simply having them cut out all fat for

Hi There, It might the oils/vinegars/salt and spices that are affecting you negatively. You also might want to try sticking with the milder greens. I don't like bitter greens at all. My favorite is romaine, it's nice and mild and sweet. My favorite dressings are very simple. One is orange juice blended with avocado and the other is orange juice blended with tomatoes and dates. Take care,

Build your diet around bananas, they are cheap, filling, and very nutritionaly complete. Make friends with produce managers, ask them to hold the "overly ripe" (usually perfectly ripe) and damaged stuff for you. You can buy these at a deep discount. Also, seek out produce stores and ethnic stores to shop at, these are much, much cheaper than grocery stores. I'm also a student, it can be

As long as you are getting enough calories, you are getting enough protein. There has been plenty of research showing that this is true. There is no need to worry. Take care, Audrey www.rawhealing.com

Hello there, Please don't be afraid to eat fruit. It is our natural food. I think it would be really hard to consumme enough calories from just fruit to put weight on. Have you ever tracked your calorie consumption on a program like fitday. Are you sure you are not any eating overt fats (nuts, seeds, oils, avos)? Nora Lenz has a great list of ideal human foods on her website at www.rawschool.

Hi there, I had depression and anxiety, including panic attacks. The depression went away very quickly and the anxiety lessened considerably very quickly. I'd say both the depression and the anxiety/panic attacks were gone within about six months of 100% raw. A coated tongue indicates a toxic condition in your body. If you eat raw for a period of time and transition to a simple, pure die
