I stopped my first attempt at a juice feast on day 3. I felt horrible...like pure acid. When I tried it again, it worked - I cut down on the acidic juices in the beginning. It may be working out for you next time! Rawsun - 4 gallons?????? some 15 liters a day...?? I guess (hope!) you mean quarts or liters ^^;;

Just some old news - IMHO the concept of juice feasting is *not* to dry fast. It's to keep you fulfilled and content throughout the day. Including a dry fast would make it a regular fast. Making all the juice at once is scary to some, but the idea is to get it over with and be worry free for the rest of the day. If you get hungry and feel "oh no I have to juice again first" -- then you

I would just let it go. Some chose to stir up things and try to get the media involved and what not..but this is about you and your child, I would not question what WIC has to offer. You do not have to report to WIC or anybody unless you are to take advantage of their program. If you don't like the program anyways, again, I would not bother. You don't have to prove anything to anybody. If you

I agree with Lois. May I share that I often thought that I had not found my soulmate. And maybe he is not my soulmate. But our relationship is quite solid *knocks on wood*. I've never been one for burning high-passion, jealousy, lovesickness, doubts, totally out-of-whack love affairs. That's just not me. So I stopped thinking about such things. And not looking at the other side of the street

I would ignore it, then it will get boring. Many of us have those experiences. I was at a Hawaiian BBQ thinking it would involve pineapples...but there was a whole pig being grilled there (with head, limbs and everything) and some people think it's so damn funny to ask me to look at it. Your story reminded me of this celeb-gossip I picked up about Jessica Simpson. Her Ex now dates a vegetar

I should change my name into dandelion or something, but I swear by this herb..and most other greens for that matter. I'm drinking dandelion juice daily and I've never had anemic episodes since. I think if you drink green juices regularly, you can successfully cure anemia and fill your "iron storage" or however you call that in English. Yes, eating is also good but I think you can get

I used to be a kimchee connoisseur but after not eating it for a good 3 months, I've totally lost the taste for it! I was juice feasting at that time, and I've heard of a few die-hards who actually made kimchee juice! Anyways, I was at a Korean restaurant with my family on the weekend and barely touched the kimchee there.

Aha, interesting. So this means the juices are being recycled as they go. A little bit in, a little bit out, put a lot of it makes roundtrips as those digestive juices? Still, that is a lot of fluid...wow!

2 gallons sounds a bit ...exaggerated to me? But that's just because I hear this theory for the first time. I mean...2 gallons is a LOT.

I have heard only of the fatintake relation to periods. That is of course kind of the same as low calorie but it had something to do with the fats themselves, not the calories they bring. That theory is based on missing periods being a fat deficiency. Or, from whichever way you look at it, it could be a sign of health? Supposedly, you would still ovulate though. I've looked orange-ish from t

I don't know, but avo and banana are just the 2 things that mash so well...what kind of veg would work well raw for a baby that takes first steps whe eating? Like I said I tried a lot...my first even ate blended raw broccoli sometimes, nowadays I don't think that was a great idea cause it is very hard by nature...so it would be not natural to blend it up. My personal rule of thumb was my own id

Me and my whole family of husband and 2 kids is vaxed through and through. I didn't want it, but it has bureaucratic immigration reasons. In fact, I have an aching arm from another tetanus shot on the left and minor aches from the MMR vaccine on the right as I type, but finally I am finished. I've had 9 shots within the past 6 months. For kids, small babies, it sucks. You can't really tell how

I did the "Global juice feast" at globaljuicefeast.com. I was a bit late to join in but I finished...longest 3 months of my life! I have yet to sit down and write some sort of "report" on my personal goals and the results. Probably it is ideal to focus on organic produce and a good juicer, both of which I didn't use for the feast. I made my juices with the blender/nutmilkba

Heh, I guess I am being really sloppy about this. I finished the 92 day juice feast today (yay) and for the past 3 months I have been hauling 5-6 liters of juice per day with me. I have glass bottles but also used plastic when being out and about on the weekends. I never sucked out the air of my containers or wrapped them in foil or anything like that....the juicing itself has exhausted me too mu

Wow. Well, others have said it well enough. We all fight our battles here. I struggle with enabling my family to eat meat and am actually buying that stuff off and on. It's complicated but I know most of you are familiar with that stuff. It's the same as killing clams for others to eat~

I use a lot of small cukes and found they are best out of the fridge (unless it is hot) cause they mold so fast. I buy them and then put them in a bowl on the counter to make sure they are dry and they can "breathe". If I keep them in the bag or in the fridge = moldy very soon.

I don't like it either. I have tried to make a concotion of the three supplements I was taking at the time (msm, hemp oil, spirulina) as a shot and chased it with water and that made me really sick several times lol.Now I can't even be near spirulina without wanting to hurl

I've been almost salt free for 80 days now and it feels great. I've been over the top with the salt ever since I'm a teenager. Feels good to not be thirsty from too much salt! Feels good to get rid of the extra water! The only non organic salt I've had was when I bought some Himalayan salt for my family and for a few days I'd just put a pinch of salt in my mouth for the taste. But then I simply

I ate some raw fish last year. My husband eats a lot of sashimi, being "typical" Japanese. And at some point, the tuna and the salmon started to look appealing to me. I also was feeling quite sick/stuck in a rut about my diet at that point. So I gave it a go and at sashimi about 2-3 times a week. After 3 weeks, I felt more and more turned off by the fish. Week 4, all I could swallow

in my experience, friends and family have to be broken in as you go. This might take a while, but it works. Even your busiest critics get tired of looking for flaws eventually, because picking on the vegetarian/vegan/raw foodist gets tiresome after a while

Yes, Asian market deals are great, non organic tho. Produce on sale at the place where I go to (has been watermelon, cucumber, napa cabbage, pear, cabbage, spinach, green onion, lettuce in the past) is either 5lbs for 99 cents or when they have a blow out it is 1 cent for 1 lbs, limit 20 lbs. But the 1 cent items are usually crap quality - that's why they sell it for 1 cent. Alas, still good fo

My theory is that they are nutrient richer as they have more skind per weight compared to a large one...but that may be wrong. Anyways, I bought 20 pounds the other day for my juice feast. I love'em cause they don't seem to eb waxed as you say and also they fit right into the feeder of my blender hehehe...no cutting needed!

You don't even have to call it anything "suspicious"...just a "smoothie club". I'd be into it if my son asked me. Learn about the ingredients, how to grow them etc..recipes for fresh smoothies and how they work for your body. And how they're a great alternative to make even those who dislike raw foods get something fresh into their diet.

I swim 3-4 times a week in a chlorine pool. Of course it is not ideal, but it's OK with me because I trust that it is necessary when so many people come together and share their...stuff. I love swimming more than I dislike the risk of chemicals.
