I am currently raw till dinner. So cooked food doesn't repulse me. However, meat does. When I have to go out with colleagues for lunch (they are all SAD eaters), most of them order steaks, some of them rare. The smell of blood on that steak just grosses me out. I look for excuses not to join them. I cannot believe people can eat a whole steak for lunch (after eating bacon and eggs for breakfa

Any natural methods to cure dandruff? I have fairly severe dandruff, for quite some time. I tried apple cider vinegar, the stuff is too strong and I take the public transport with people bunched up. So can't do that. Thanks.

Thanks Brian and Frances. Frances, since the amount I will be investing for the micro greens is not much, I shall go for it. I can always give it a shot and see what happens. Let me buy this pack then!

I bought a few living nuts from them a couple of weeks back. They were quite delicious, but expensive. I was browsing the living nutz website thinking I will purchase directly from the manufacturer. To my dismay, the prices at the living nutz were around 50% of the prices I paid at Diamond Organics! I am very very disappointed and feel ripped off. Has anyone else bought from Diamond?

I can sleep almost anywhere. I have slept on concrete floors, uneven ground, hardwood floors. No problem. Currenly I sleep on the floor with a comfortor between myself and the floor. I cannot sleep if the bed is too soft. Once, when traveling on official business, I was put in a nice hotel with a really soft bed. I ended up sleeping on the floor!

I have to say as a guy, that I do not mind if a women does not shave. However, it is only true if she has the soft womanly body hair. It grosses me out if I see a woman whose arm/leg hair is coarse and thick like a guy.

Ugh now I am confused. I am a lazy guy and would want to do the minimum work. But then this would be my first time sprouting. So not sure I should go directly high tech. I don't know what to do now! *sigh*

Frances, currently my plans are to sprout nuts, legumes and possibly broccoli. Will the easygreen work for me?

Thanks Frances. I like the idea of EasyGreen as they seem to have 5 "slots" I can keep adding to as I keep using one slot each day. So in effect I would always be sprouting five different things at the same time, with each slot ready for the day I want to eat. Is that correct? Does any other sprouter have the same concept and maybe less expensive . I did see the sproutpeople website,

I live in the DC area and take cold showers all year round, be it winter or summer. Of course, in summer it's a treat! In winter, the cold water is really uncomfortable, and the shower is really short! But once I come out, I feel really warm and feel my skin responding to the stress and I feel great. If I go out in the cold, I don't feel that cold! If I am sick, I just take a lukewarm/cool wa

Hey guys, I am thinking of buying the Easy Green Automatic Sprouter and start making my sprouts. Has anyone used it? Also, I read somewhere (quite sometime back) that sprouts are toxic because the sprouts are helpless young plants and they have toxins so that animals do not eat them when they are so young. They lose their toxicity as they start becoming bigger. Is this true? This has been o

In this article the author concludes that a 100% raw vegan is not healthy in the long run. He says it is better to eat mostly raw supplemented with some cooked food. What do the gurus think?

Right. I make sure I eat lot of whole foods. I drink green lemonade (blend of different greens such as kale, romaine, chard, celery etc with ginger, garlic, an orange and an apple, and a carrot). Then keep eat whole raw foods throughout the day. For dinner, I eat a cooked meal. So was wondering if drinking juice for breakfast directly has any benefits over eating all the ingredients whole (probab

hey guys, Raw food diet appeals to me as it seems to conform with the evolutionary theory. However, what about juicing? Aren't we designed to chew on something (except water) and then let the digestive processes take over? When we juice, we are not chewing but directly ingesting the nutrients. So aren't we missing out on the benefits of chewing? How does one conform the need to chew our food a

Hi Guys, I am currently raw till dinner. I have noticed that since I increased my raw intake, I am breaking out more. Is this anyway related? Also, I have taken a taste to raw pine nuts and can keep eating them! Should I limit them or should I keep eating them until I can't stand them? Also, should I eat "meals" or is it ok to keep eating throughout the day? I like to keep mun

Hey guys, I am trying to become as raw as possible. Currently, am eating raw food through out the day, and then eat cooked food at night. I notice that my energy levels after eating cooked food are higher. I feel slightly listless during the day (not as energetic). This is what I am doing typically: Breakfast: Juice of some greens (kale, spinach etc), celery, an apple, an orange, carr

Hey guys, I drink my green tea with honey (the processed kind). I want to switch over to using raw honey as a sweetener for my tea. However, am I getting any benefits? The tea would be hot and would kill off the enzymes. So, after this stage, is there any difference between the grocery store honey and the raw honey? Just wondering as there is a price gap and if it would be worth buying the raw

Those are good suggestions uti. Let me see if I can find out the reports. I want to be exposed to germs so that I can keep my immune system active. I am not talking about the deadly ones, just the ones that are annoying and let the body know that there are different microbes around.

Alcohol does not make me feel bad. Of course, I do not like to get drunk. I also do not crave it, but I do enjoy it. I enjoy a nice glass of scotch or cognac. Since I bought a juicer, I have taken to adding vodka to fresh fruit juice as an after dinner drink. Very enjoyable.
