Herbal tea in the evening is very helpful when you think you want to eat, but you just want to put something in your mouth and fiddle in the kitchen.

This happens to me, I have a theory that it has to do with eating a lot less salt, and the body not holding on to as much water. I would suggest trying to drink a lot more water, or salty foods like celery. I think caffeine works well too but you might not want to do that! I hope you feel better.

No, it does make you emotionally sensitive! I am convinced of it, when I am really 100% raw I am crying everyday.... what it is exactly I couldn't tell you, but I think it has to do with the dulling and grounding effects of cooked food. That can be a good and bad thing. Myself, I kind of like it but its hard to live with isn't it!

I don't know if you should eat or not, but I suggest making a tea with simply boiled fresh ginger slices. It feels SO good!

Wow, no pain meds? If anything makes me feel disturbed the most its having my teeth worked on. I can't handle the pain, its not that its so much worse than other pain its just so WRONG. Like, a pain in my stomach or leg or something is way better than a pain in my eye or my tooth, even with the same amount of pain. Anyway, I go to my local University for dental work and its very cheap and som

For myself I just do better not at 100% raw, I feel better and I don't get the low blood pressure. I agree that it is just my constitution, other things about myself that I think are related are that I totally hate to be hot, I need to drink tons of water to keep hydrated, and I am prone to migraine headaches. Again, getting salt, coffee, a little cooked (for me whole grains), plenty of water

Hello, half-way through eating a peach I noticed there were white crumbs all over the pit and the flesh that touched the pit. Anyone know what this is? Should I be worried? I stopped eating then but I did eat it. Thanks! Katie

I get that too...and there are very few remedies! I think its a problem of the 3rd world, not here. Its like the medical community hardly considers it a problem! I would start drinking tons of water for one...if you aren't eating much salt you might not be retaining it. If it doesn't bother you, you could put a pinch of salt in the water. Coffee also raises it, but its not raw of course!

Hello, well the whole grains are barley, millet, sweet brown rice, brown rice, job’s tear, red bean, black bean, peeled mung bean, and black sweet rice. They come all mixed together and I get a big bag of this for about 10$ at a local Asian grocery. I add it to my salads and it makes it pretty delicious! Not raw though...maybe there would be a way to sprout this? For me though, I think if it he

Hello, I wanted to share some success I've had with my weight loss/fitness goals that I wanted to share. I have been struggling with being about 10-15 lbs overweight for ages, I work out very frequently (weights and cardio 5 days a week) as well as use a bike for local transportation. I have tried 100% raw, but am currently at about 70% I'd say. I feel good on either one. I eat green salads with

Do you eat tomatoes? Blended with anything they make a good dressing....I like the oil and vinegar plus whatever is tasty myself but....the tomato one is good too!

Hello, I was told by my homeopath that it can be reversed, though especially if it is WHITE it can be reversed. What you need is more minerals. I have pulled out hair off of my head that was white at the end and brown at the root, maybe 20 hairs like this! Its true. Fasting...I don't know if that would work, unless it would help you increase mineral absorption....just think about what minerals yo

I workout 5 days a week, 1/2 hour strength training, 1/2 hour cardio. Sometimes the strength takes me one whole hour. It was a program that I got from a personal trainer at the YWCA. It cost about 50$ for a session and she gave me a program, something different to do everyday for 5 days. Although I am happy to see everyone working out, I really suggest you try a personal trainer to get a program.

Interesting...according to the www.whfoods.com site if you have the heart thing and cramps it could be Magnesium, but they indicate elevated blood pressure and I have it low. It still could be that though, thanks for the tips!

Hello, I was wondering if anyone had any tips on what the body's signals for electrolyte imbalance or deficiency were? I have some idea that cramping could be not enough calcium, or too much, or badly absorbed...but thats pretty confusing. I basically have muscle cramps in my legs and feet and an occasional funny heart-beat, as well as kind of low blood pressure. I think it could be a Magnesiu

I would cut down on sweet stuff and increase the greens. For me, I eat a green smoothie for breakfast, and green salads for lunch and dinner with nuts and fruits in them too. It works well for me. I would skip the chocolate, that for a special treat but not every day. Also, have you decreased your exercise routine? Maybe you aren't eating ENOUGH even and your metabolism has slowed? Exercise is

For organic body washes, the best for me is the fragrance free Shikai. I found it at the local co-op, but you can go to Skikai dot com. I have tried a WHOLE lot of them and this is the one I keep going back to because it doesn't make me dry and itchy like almost everything else does, the bottle is kind of ugly though!

Once while I was raw I got a sore bump that opened up on the top of the roof of my mouth, and a big blood blister on my cheek. They both went away in about a week. I'd wait that long before I worried at all. The mouth is an interesting place! It can heal very quickly.

Raw1228, you are acting crazy and need to stop posting now. Alcohol and raw foodism are not incompatible. Some raw food restaurants serve wine. It isn't poison for those that don't have an addiction. Imagine if you couldn't stop eating spinach, it made you nuts and violent. Does that mean that everyone shouldn't eat spinach? No, it means YOU shouldn't eat spinach. Worry about yourself. I tend to

Hello! That sounds healthy to me, but maybe not exactly what I would eat if I was trying to loose some weight. I also am trying to loose weight, I want to lose about 10 lbs. If I wanted to improve that, I would remove the sugar and molasses in the oatmeal, its hard but that stuff is just empty calories. I would also add some protein to it, like rice or hemp powder. Or, instead of oatmeal you cou

Ok I get it, sort of a rolling motion instead of a "flop the foot down" motion like with rigid shoes. I will try to pay attention to this, I tried it a little today and it felt good but weird! Thanks for the tips

Hyldemoer, so you are saying your foot should hit toes first then rolls back to the heel? In shoes we hit heel first then roll forward...and this is the problem? I have a problem with suppination (my feet roll in) and I wear an insert in my shoes. I am not happy with it, it is very expensive and seems like a crutch. But, if I stop wearing it or wear flip-flops or something my ankle will start t

You could ask for baby stuff from the local co-op grocery, they have nice chemical free soaps and diaper lotions and such. Pricey, but maybe in the gift-giving range. Also, just for yourself maybe you could find some baby stuff from an antique store...that way it would be recycled and probably chemical free. If you have antique shops where you are, in a town near me there are tons of them with lo

Hello, yes this happens to me every time I get to a high percentage of raw. Maybe for us a little brown rice or the like mixed in with the raw is probably better than the alternative, a big SAD binge. However, a few cups of cereal isn't so bad anyway, don't feel bad!
