I've used: Godin Farm Maple Orchard 2357 Lost Nation Road Enosburg Falls, VT 05450-5346 TOLL FREE 1-877-658-6522 They have good quality maple syrup, grade b. I haven't bothered to go organic on maple syrup because I don't think there's a difference. I used to live in Vermont and if I recall correctly, the trees are not treated in any way.

Khale, Thanks for your offer but thehulaqueen, who generously made this available to the group, has asked that it not be altered. I think we should respect her (or his) wishes and be appreciative of the gift that was given. I'm sure a Mac version will be produced in good time. Just FYI, on Mac machines now, and I assume many Windoze, you can simply choose 'Print to PDF' from the Print Dialo

Ok, so is there anyone on this list who has downloaded the ebook and would be willing to print to PDF and share that with the rest of us? That should create a PDF file that can be viewed on all computers, simply with 1-2 clicks. Thanks!

Is there anything wrong with Adobe Acrobat, putting it in PDF format? Most ebooks for the Mac are distributed that way.

Oh, Sheryl! I was so excited and grateful to all of you for created such a resource, and downloaded it and....I cannot open it. I'm on a Mac, and .exe's don't work on Apple computers. Darn! Is there any way you can print it to PDF and I can have that? Thanks, Greenie

I can totally understand and sympathyize with your point of view. I have a friend with cancer who is going through the same thing. Some - many - of the alternative healers are no better than voodoo. And I'm not just talking about the out and out charlatans, of which there are many. Equally bad are the ones who are well-meaning but who can't really help. A few years ago, I tore a tendon in my

Here's an update on the story: ACCOMAC, Va. Jul 25, 2006 (AP)— A judge ruled Tuesday that a 16-year-old cancer patient who has refused conventional medical treatment does not have to report to a hospital as previously ordered and scheduled a trial to settle the dispute. Starchild Abraham Cherrix, who is battling Hodgkin's disease, a cancer of the lymphatic system, refused a second rou

I'm O+ and do well on raw food. I've been vegetarian since 1968 and sometimes am lacto-ovo. I get sick after a while if I eat dairy & eggs. When I'm raw, I never get sick. I think the blood type diet craze is just science du jour.

morrisson66, Those are good thoughts. I was just so stunned when I read the story, it's such a violation of his rights. What a nasty oncologist.

A few days ago, purenkind posted an article about Abraham Cherrix, a 16-year-old boy with cancer court-ordered to receive chemo. (http://www.cnn.com/2006/HEALTH/07/21/sick.teen.ap/index.html) When I read his story, I wanted to know how I could help. Well, I just received an email from a friend with links to the Health Freedom Foundation and American Association for Health Freedom, which is tak

I was horrified at that, too. It is especially outrageous given that he had tried chemo and it didn't work. Fortunately, he's appealing the decision. Let's hope he wins that appeal. I wonder if there's anything we can do to support him and protest that decision.

FWIW, my nephew used to do that. I haven't been around babies a lot so I don't know if that's normal or not, but my sister was into research and wasn't at all bothered by his little spasticisms. However, I agree with the wise Ally that it's time to see a doctor. Not because I think there's anything wrong with the baby, but because it's time to put your mind at ease.

Is she insane?

I have friends who work in ORs and also who give colonoscopies. I've asked them what the inside of the colon and intestines look like, if they've ever seen any buildup. They told me that almost all of the colons they've seen are pink inside. They've never seen anything like mucoid plaque or other buildup. These people practice in the rural Midwest which has one of the poorer SAD diets you could i

I like the idea of juicing the apples, too. I make raw applesauce with apples and raisins, but that won't keep for a long time. You could dehydrate the apple slices.

Years ago a friend who had been in the Peace Corps was horribly fatigued. We were in Switzerland at the time. She went to a doctor who did a blood test. When she came back for the results he told her she was severely anemic and he said it was likely from parasites. It took some months to get her iron back up. I think it's worth it to find out exactly why your iron is low and then you will kno

Can you really get that anemic from diet alone in that short a time? I don't think so. This degree of anemia can be caused by internal bleeding, excessive menstrual bleeding, or parasites. If I were you I'd go back to the doctor and have some good comprehensive tests to find out just what's what. Once you know what's causing the anemia, you can find out natural methods to cure it.

sierradawn7, You don't mention how much of other raw foods you consume. You'll stabilize your blood sugar and lose weight by adding greens, fibrous foods, and exercise.

Alive! That's a great idea about pulsing them in the food processor and then rinsing them. I'll bet that will cut down my soak/sprout time.
