I just got off the phone after speaking to Linda, of Customer Service at Vitamix. She informed me they put the wrong blade assembly on the 48-ounce container I recently bought, which was the reason it didn't fit my motor base. Anyway, I'm getting that straightened out. Some of you might be interested in this size container. It'll allow the Vitamix blender to fit under a standard 18" cabinet
