Bryan -- Your advice works. I ate only OJ for two weeks and I had little desire to eat, insane energy etc. It was amazing. Unfortunately I haven't been able to do that again -- that was in June I believe. The day I gave in and had salad all hell broke loose... The next day I wanted everything! To this day I want everything. I'm good at work when I have my food layed out; OJ, smoothie, veggie juic

I live with my husband. We moved into a new house... complete without appliances in September - 4 months after discovering raw food, cleaning out our cupboards, and making an overnight transition. We bought all the standard appliances with the exception of a stove. My in-laws were shocked!! Worried what I am doing to there son... but he partakes joyfully. I don't find it hard to be around non-raw

Evolution -- vegetarian, vegan, raw foodist (= Never felt better and more ALIVE!!! I saw a book in a Chapters Bookstore 'Raw Food Real World' The pictures were incredible. I bought it, read it, and my husband and I both ate or donated all of our cooked food products, and basically went High Raw over night. Funny thing is, as long time vegans, we'd never even heard of Raw Foods until we saw

I wish!!! I just try and convert everyone I know onto Raw foods... Surprisingly that seems to be working better than when I was just promoting Veganism. I think people like Raw better because it benefits them personally to a greater degree, and helping the animals and the planet are more of afterthoughts. But in all my years as a vegan, I've never felt so great as I do now that I am raw!

Hi Seajaee, I completely emphasize with you. I went raw in May -- and then Winter hit - and I live in Northern Alberta - In Canada.... Needless to say I have frozen on several occasions. Things that help: Drinking warm water, eating everything at room temperature - nothing straight from the fridge. Wearing layers and warmer clothes, exercising regularly, and spicy foods (jalapeneos, caye

When you first go raw and are detoxing all of the negative health conditions you've experienced throughout your life come to the surface. Stay raw, you will conquer this. One suggestion is to limit your fat intake. Yeast/candida actually needs fat to grow not fruit!! Best wishes to you,

Thanks again everyone for your input and support. Gosia -- thank you for your advice. I checked out your website and found it inspiring. Bryan -- In answer to your question, if I quit using these 'sweeteners' and flavorings I would only eat fruit. Thank you for asking that, it really makes sense and hit home. I don't even think I would want as many vegetables without seasons in the salad dr

Thank you to everyone for all of your input and suggestions (= Bryan - I only get acne when I eat high fat... another reason why this is not working for me!! The clearest my skin ever was however, was when I was only eating Orange Juice! Cousens book advocates no fruit for three months, in order for one's body to stop being a composting ground. Apparently everyone at the TOL restaurant (th
