Wow, makes too much sense.
Why do viruses exist then if they're just chillin' in our genome? Maybe that answer remains to be discovered.
Regarding viruses in nature, rabies is an example.

I don't think you're taking into consideration the time period the Natural Hygiene hypothesis was created. This idea was created in the 1800's before we knew a lot of the information we know today.

Quotes from really old people are interesting, but they are not evidence or science. Detoxification being vital doesn't mean there aren't bacteria or viruses out there that can take advantage of our body in an unfortunate circumstance. It's not one or the other. In fact, I'm going to take this a step further and state that I think you're flat out wrong when it comes to bacteria. We know this from taking gut microbiome samples from patients with inflammatory bowel disease versus patients without. There are marked and observable differences in gut bacteria. Not everything unrelated to Natural Hygiene is false.

There's more evidence that viruses are real and infect susceptible people than there is that viruses are harmless entities that never cause any health issues. If chickenpox isn't a contagious virus, then why were chickenpox parties a common thing?

Yeah, this entire thing is so strange. I've never seen anything like it. All of the official coronavirus statistics are fundamentally inaccurate and unprovable yet the entire world is shutting down. Whether the virus is real or not isn't the question, but rather whether the virus is causing this outbreak of deaths throughout numerous countries or if it's being caused by something else. If evidence emerges from legitimate testing that X amount of people have confirmed cases, then I'd start to question whether or not the pollution is simply making people more susceptible to the virus.
