The Easygreen sprouter uses a mist generator that spits out small droplets onto the seeds from the unit's water reservoir. This process is automated by plugging the unit into a programmable timer. The benefit of the mist generator is that it doesn't move or disturb the seeds. The sprouter has a large growing chamber that acts as a mini-greenhouse. The kit comes with growing trays so you can grow short-term sprouts like alfalfa and have a new tray each day. One tray is more than plenty for two people to eat a day.
