When population growth exceeds available resources desperation drives people to desperate measures. This is the case in many places around the globe. This has occurred regularly throughout history with well documented famines and their associated desperation in every older country in the world. Date: July 10, 2008 03:09PM I've already written about how US foreign interventionist policies (and domestic farm subsidy policies) have affected Haiti before, of which this example is certainly amongst the most horrific.  Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
