Cleavage

Ladies and Gents: what do you think of it? Women, do you show cleavage in public? Men, how do you perceive this? Women, how do you perceive this regarding other women? I think its ironic that I would consider myself a Naturalist... and yet be concerned about my cleavage showing in 'general' public.

I like show just a hint of cleavage sometimes, but if I'm wearing a really low cut top, I'll actually layer another more modest tank top underneath.

I didn't think I showed much until after a holiday get together with my hubby's family, and afterwards he said he couldn't keep his eyes off "the girls"! ;}

For myself, I usually go for clinging rather than low cut.

I don't mind seeing it on other women. It can be nice.

Nurse three babies for ten years (and tandem nursing) and then try to make cleavage out of pancakes -- it's not pretty smiling smiley

I don't think much of it. The only time I notice is when people have huge boobs that look they are about to pop out of their top. That doesn't look good. I also don't think fake balloon boobs looks good. It is so weird to me that some men like that.

Yeah I hear you all on this. I went from push-up bra sex object that looked in a mirror every 1/2 hour atleast, to a bra-less goddess who loves my breasts privatelysmiling smiley ... I recently made a halter style dress that is fantastic. It shows not only the top cleavage but the whole thing and the insides down to my sternum. This is where the topic originated from, I guess I havent thought about showing anything since I had my own little revolution back a while.

I dare say I would enjoy a pair of pancackes -vs- cleavage even bra-less

hmm, i don't even think about, if i notice it in the mirror i yank my shirt up i suppose. i'm not so much into showing it on purpose but i am more into comfort than style so if it shows, it shows. in fact i can see mine right now but that may be because i am looking at it from above grinning smiley

on others i don't think about it either unless it's obnoxiously obvious and then i ignore it on purpose. unless it's butt cleavage, then i gag. ha ha.

HA!!! I was going to post something like: please dont let this thread get raunchy and deleted---- but i dont think it will go there.. hahaah

Lois----- BRAVO 3 kids, extended nursing you are an inspiration. Last night I thought about your post when I was dealing with a 7 month old: teeth on teet. ouch.

Here is my mental block: I dont want to be aluring or sexually atractive to people I didnt intend to capticate in the first place... but sometimes I am taken with myself; I feel radiant, and want to put on a dress and twirl around.

coco--- comfort -vs- style is a great way of looking at it.. Then again I would be more comfortable not being whistled at by a man with 'show me yer tits' written on his dirty back window.

Yeah! Twirl, girl, twirl! (Me, too!) Sometimes when I'm all glimmered up (somehow sounds more appropriate than 'glammed up') and dressed in my purple finery and beadwork, I almost feel like dancing down the street-- it's irrepressible!

Listen if 2 water balloons were sitting next 2 each other they would have no effect on me so neither does what you are talking about here.

Woman: untill you stop being controlled by pornagraphy and value yourselfs only by who you are and demand that all men treat you the same you will be totally lost.

elnatural, please clarify. Do you mean to say until we stop being controlled by pornography; until we begin to value ourselves by who we are and until we demand that men treat us the same?...

or until we stop doing all those things? please explain further what you mean. would you consider cleavage in the category of porn? do you think that by covering ourselves OR by not caring to cover ourselves, we value ourselves?

In your opinion, how might a woman demand to be valued as more than a sex object?

maybe i`m strange but i don`t want to be treated exactly as a man. i mean i like it sometimes when i get all gussied up and turn heads, it feeds my ego. i don`t have low self esteem, i am pretty darn confident in myself and i`m not stuck up either, i`m just me. but sometimes it does feel good to see/prove that i`ve still got it LOL. i like my man to open my door and let me enter first and treat me like a lady. i also want peeps to know i am an intelligent human being. i don`t want to be seen like "just a sex object" either. can we not have them both? balance?

I thought it was quite clear.

Woman should stop dressing under the influence of pornagraphy. That is giving into to it, and being controlled by it. That is agreeing to the concept you are just ojects for men to use an abuse by way of how sick they are. Cleavage is not porn but is caused by it and is moving in that direction. It's agreeing to the concepts of porn and says you realy have low self esteenm. Where long dresses and just be yourself.

Dont see yourselfs and or value yourselfs per how you look compared to any pornographic standards.

Value yourselfs by who you are on the inside, by your personality, by your talents, by your hobbies, by your dreams, etc. If men want to "see" something other than that you can by pass them. You will probably do a lot of by passing!

<<<i don`t want to be seen like "just a sex object" either. can we not have them both? balance? >>>>

I think we can. I have been noticing the cleavage on TV for a few years now. Sexy but cute has become standard on even the "sweet" girls on TV and in movies. I believe this is an indication of women feeling more comfortable with their sexuality.

Being brought up with strict, southern Baptist ideals crammed down my throat, I have struggled with being comfortable with my own sexuality. I like feeling like a sexual being as an individual as well as merged together with my husband.

I am way more comfortable in sexy clothes now that my boobs have shrunk. I used to have big boobs, especially while nursing and with baby weight. I felt like my cleavage was all people noticed about me and clothes just weren't as flattering. I love wearing sexy clothes now but I don't ever push my boobs up into cleavage, I prefer the natural look.
