Thought I'd share one of mine. My youngest daughter has had braces for two years and just got them off. I don't think I saw her smile once when she had them on! This one was born with a challenge - she had a condition called craniosynostosis, which would have caused her head shape to become quite horrifically deformed had it not been corrected. I often shudder to think how different her life would have been had she not had that option. She had to have a very scary brain surgury as a baby to break open her skull and reconstruct it in the correct way. It was a hard time, but I never stop being grateful for how well things came out in the end. Not so long ago, there would have been no way to correct it. So I am especially proud of her. Date: August 30, 2008 06:26PM I'm so glad her forehead is so nice - she won't go to a hairdresser nor will she let anyone touch her head because it is so bumpy! (except me)
