Date: September 05, 2008 02:39AM hi guys. my state of nv is requiring all 6th and 7th graders to receive a vaccination for bordatella pertussis (tdap). isn`t this just like the kennel cough vaccine that i have to give my dogs if i board them? my understanding is that it`s just another virus. is there any way i can get away with not vaccinating him? the school is asking for a shot record.

Date: September 05, 2008 02:57AM religious exemption. check to see if it is valid where you are at and then read up enough to fake the affliation. sorry about having to fib but it's the only way and the church of i-don't-poison-my-kids-with-that-crap just isn't recognized. Re: mandatory vaccination

Date: September 05, 2008 04:24AM good luck then, religious expemption is one of the only ways. perhaps if you claim to be fundementalists? that's a bit scary though...
here in canada i can claim a conscientious objection and they leave me alone, see if that is available to you. Re: mandatory vaccination

Date: September 06, 2008 12:20AM you can choose religious exemption even at a christian school.
traditional judaism is one of the religions opposed to blood contamination- it's biblical- so christians can reference the old testament on it. just because you disagree on an interpretation of a verse doesn't make them the right ones. philosophical reasons but i would claim religious- maybe more christians would look into their traditional background on this. peace- Re: mandatory vaccination
