The Man Who Planted Trees

Date: January 08, 2009 03:33AM Ever since I was a child I loved The Man Who Planted Trees by Jean Giono.
For years I dismissed it as idealism, but increasingly, as I've researched permaculture and other restorative agriculture systems, I see that Giono packed some incredible wisdom in this simple and quick story. I wrote a review, which is linked below. I hope all of you will take the time to read this amazing tale. Then go plant some trees. Date: January 08, 2009 05:33AM i guerilla planted a cherry and plum tree in each of my neighbors front yards last summer with a note attatched that if they really didnt want the baby fruit trees to please carefully dig them back up and encase them in the burlap sack i left behind and i would be back to pick them up the next night  the next day the sack and note were gone and the trees remain they still have no idea who did it cuz i put one in my front yard too and played stupid  i plan on doing a few more neighbors this summer the goal is to get my whole block planted for future harvesting lol
by the way for those that dont know what guerilla gardening is , its generally planting things on public property usually in the dark of night stealth mode ...Jodi, the banana eating buddhist  Re: The Man Who Planted Trees
