we need a "raw" craigslist!

Date: January 20, 2011 11:47PM thats it, we need to build some sort of raw/vegan craigslist type thing, that is a major hub for all raw/vegan/vegetarian people to come and find people, find stuff for sale, buy/sell organic produce, trade... all that sort of stuff, and be able to easily separate it by area... I think it would be pretty awesome... I could make it, but I could never afford hosting it,lol... hmmm, maybe I shouldn't have posted this idea in here, and just wait till I CAN afford to do so, but, id rather not wait, id rather have that service provided to me by somebody else now, rather than waiting for however long it would take be4 I could afford to host it,lol. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh, mirror in the sky What is love? Date: January 21, 2011 12:47AM thats cause a forum doesnt really work on craigslist... im talking about the ability to have different sections to post stuff craiglist style, thats easily searchable, advertised, or at least some kind of cohesive community, which there isnt much of in the raw food world, not even vegan/vegetarian... there are soooo much more raw foodists out there than are represented on this or even other websites... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh, mirror in the sky What is love? the following could do the trick Wordpress platform: [wordpress.org] Classipress classifieds script: [www.appthemes.com] BBpress forum: [bbpress.org] Hosting at MediaTemple: [mediatemple.net] MT is sixteen bucks per month for a grid-service account when I signed up with a coupon I found on retailmenot.com add some custom styling and clever interface re-designing, then it's a matter of spreading the word. oh, a super cool domain name is important too. something like: SuperAwesomeRawVegWebsiteForMakethFunAndHappy.com (but shorter) Re: we need a "raw" craigslist!

because the "classifieds" section in this site is rather creepy u get like 1 response usually and a zillion views case in point: there was this ad for "raw chef" it had 1thousand 1hundred and thirty views and only 3 replies verrrry creepy but that seems to be the norm and 3 is at the HIGH end of replies for some bizarre reason, the views are abnormally high and the responses are incredulously exceptionally LOW A rawcraigslist.org will be the next big thing Re: we need a "raw" craigslist!

Date: April 02, 2011 04:44PM thats the problem, Im fairly certain if I created something like that, it would turn out JUST like the classifieds section here, tons of viewers, hardly ANY posters, and you know what that means? much bigger hosting costs, with very little actual activity. Date: April 02, 2011 04:51PM The reason there are so many views is because tons of people are trying to figure out how to make a living doing something in this field while the market for it is quite small (and saturated by people trying to make a living doing something in this field  ) so all the views are competition checking out the ads.Re: we need a "raw" craigslist!
