Date: March 02, 2009 08:20PM no, but whenever you post your email address on a public forum it gets picked up by spam bots. you can send it in a private message instead.
i just noticed that i had over 500 spam messages in a gmail account, i never even noticed them and i don't have any privacy setting on that email account either, it just does it automatically. you could switch to gmail if you're not already using it. i have more than one account too, one for the real people in my life and two others for business and internet stuff. it works out well. I seem to remember a pic of something on your washer or dryer a while back and the place being spotless. I must have put you under my clean~freak file cuz it doesn't surprise me that you feel that keeping your kitchen neat is better than keeping it free from bacteria. LOL! Re: What is your Pet Peeve?

I like a neat clean kitchen, and also bacteria-free. I'll challenge anyone here to a Kitchen Bacteria Count. Have you ever noticed the 'crud' that builds up on those drain racks? It's downright Nasty....WY Re: What is your Pet Peeve?

Date: March 05, 2009 07:26PM LOL!!.....No one is taking a bacteria count in my kitchen. I spray everything down a bit with apple cider vinegar, enough to keep bacteria from taking over. LOL! I used to be a clean freak but every kid that came along made that a little more impossible. Now that I live on basically a farm with 6 people and all kinds of animals in and out all day everyday, I would drive myself, and everyone else, crazy if I worried about keeping it clean around here. I know what you mean when other people are involved. I judge people, especially myself, by the way they do things pertaining to neatness and cleanliness. I keep thinking of you lately; so good to see you on the board! Germs are a necessary part of life. Lately I've been learning about how we need them for our immune function. I fall somewhere in the middle on cleanliness-- I like things sort of neat and tidy, but I don't spend any time worrying about germs, fungus, etc. Sharrhan: [www.facebook.com] Re: What is your Pet Peeve?

It seems that everyone I know uses one. Is there anyone else, like me, who doesn't? And if you don't, how do you dry your Greens?....WY [www.simplysmartliving.com] Re: What is your Pet Peeve?

I use a spinner for lettuce or other greens that I'll be eating out of hand and which I prep in a several-days'-worth amount. If it's going promptly into the Vita Mix, I just shake off that bit of excess water from rinsing and proceed with blending. Spinning off the surface moisture does retard spoilage, if the cleaned greens won't be consumed immediately. In my case, until I get a whole-house reverse osmosis filtration system, I am limiting how much tap water remains on my food after I've washed it. Why, exactly, don't you use a salad spinner, if I may ask? Re: What is your Pet Peeve?

Date: March 06, 2009 07:11PM I love my spinner. I clean and dry all my greens when i get home from the store. I put a paper towel in the bottom of an air tight container and place the greens on top. My greens stay fresh for about 5 days. They are always ready to use when i need them.
I want to know why you don't use a spinner too. Hey Jodi! Re: What is your Pet Peeve?

Date: March 11, 2009 03:49PM Those Salad Spinners should be washed,
and towel dried, every so often. Well, it happened again this morning...another rude horn blast from someone locking their car. I was right next to it, so it was quite startling. I confronted the people (in a nice way), and they didn't seem to know they were doing anything wrong. Oh well, what did Wayne Dyer say? "Change the way you look at the World, and the World changes" ....or something like that. Gotta work on that....WY Re: What is your Pet Peeve?

Or, Not Action but Reaction? That is, you cannot control people's actions but you can control your reactions. I must say, perhaps the Artificial Intelligence in those cars knows when you're near, because you seem to have rotten luck avoiding those alarms! Re: What is your Pet Peeve?

This last time was unusual, but at Publix there are hundreds of cars in their parking lot, and I'm always hearing them. Let me put it this way...for the person using the lock, they're prepared for the horn beep by expecting it. For me, lost in my thoughts, the beep comes as a 'shock'....WY Re: What is your Pet Peeve?

I've heard of women, not wanting to sit on the public toilet seat, just squatting a little in the right direction, and letting it all come out. They could at least lift the seat, and then clean up the splatter. Holy Cripes...WY Re: What is your Pet Peeve?

Date: March 25, 2009 11:01AM The toilet talk is nasty .
I have an idea to invent small port-a potties for kids. Little blue and pink ones. It is so hard for kids to use those big ones. I usually have to hold them up over it because those things are so gross. At one festival, I was actually holding some other woman's kid, because she was too pregnant to do it herself. have a problem with people getting in the 10-items-or- less line at Publix, with more than 10 items. The cashiers are trained not to say anything, but sometimes I can't help myself. I mean....some people don't have a Clue....WY Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
