I got layed off my Job lol

Date: September 12, 2009 04:06PM and im so excited ! 
it was really starting to wear on me in the most negative ways and i was finding it harder and harder everyday to wake and go now i can use some of the emplyment insurance ive been banking for 20 years to rest, relax and maybe get some retraining i was looking for an out from this job and the universe took care of it ! aint it grand? =D one door closed and many doors in front of me to choose from

yogi , fortunately my financial needs are very slim . The university / College is withen walking distance. All sources of food are withen cycling distance. so my car consumption can be cut down greatly . I have some savings but my employment insurance should get me through just fine without having to touch it , unless some crzy happenning happens
its all good I feel really good about it all After my first initial hour of panic i gave myself a good slap upside the head an said JODI , the Oyster just opened .. grab the pearl an run with it !

These types of occurrences always seem to work out for the better, as it gives you a gentle, or maybe not so gentle nudge in a different direction, opening up new possibilities. May I suggest that you take some of your free time & devote it towards your foraging interests...get a good field guide book, or even use the internet for i.d. purposes, & what to use the wild edibles for. I've been having a blast with plantain/chicory/violets/burdock/sumac/dandelion greens & more. Re: I got layed off my Job lol

Date: September 14, 2009 03:48AM I just found some incredible wild plant books at the thrift store. I have the book Edible Wild Plants of North America and another ancient book of wild grasses but these two round out that collection so nicely. The kids and I forage a bit here and there where I think it's clean enough but I would like to do this more and more. Jodi, any time you want to come and sample the wild edibles of Southern Ont you can shack up at the beach with us! Come on girl, let's random fruit tree plant! Re: I got layed off my Job lol

Juicerkatz its funny you mention that , i met a lady yesterday that turned me on to not one but two foragers in this area and i need to contact them to set up a time for a few walks im really excited about this !
