Date: October 08, 2009 01:58PM I am grateful, extremely grateful, that I have come through hell, so to speak, and I can once again wake up and look out my back window and see the trees,my lawn, and a squirrel happily hop across my backyard.
Some material things might be on that list too,but this is the top one. Vinny Re: Gratitude List

Date: October 08, 2009 02:16PM I'm SO grateful that I've come through a 'dry spell' of a couple of years where I couldn't seem to get with it and fast or detoxify, and now on only day 4 of a lemonade and water fast I'm feeling freakin' FANTASTIC and on top of the world! Date: October 13, 2009 05:16PM Grateful to actually HAVE a relationship with my mother now - it only took over 30+ years! And, no, I'm not adopted ;}, we just never had a relationship- EVER!
Grateful that I actually find joy in being alive, given that I was seriously suicidal for many years previously, and came tooclose to actually cutting my time here short! Nice to be routinely mistaken for a 20 - 24 year old when I'm actually about 17 years more! Good genetics and raw food rawk! SO grateful that I was home and not out running errands when my favourite old pair of jeans I was wearing yesterday split open from the top to the bottom of my right "cheek"!!! ;};};} I made sure to put one of my newest pairs on this morning before heading out!!! Date: October 26, 2009 01:34AM I'm grateful that I look so healthy (to other people) that I am often approached by folk in the market, bookstore, etc, and asked for information and tips on how they can improve their own diet and well being; "You look SO healthy that I just have to ask you..."
Yea!!! And I get the chance to do something I love to do: help someone one-on-one ;} Makes me smile when I remember past comments from people who swore up and down I'd become sick from living this lifestyle... but then they're focused on the food, and completely ignoring other components, which I make sure to share with those who are genuinely interested! Date: October 26, 2009 03:13PM I'm grateful for so many things right now.... my excellent health, the power of rejuvenation, the love of my mate, the joy of playing music, the power of magical thinking over logical thinking (!! yes Bryan, I said that, lol), hmmm... well, most of all I'm grateful that I have the capacity to feel intensely grateful! Date: October 26, 2009 05:24PM Here are 10 (of the infinite number of) things I am grateful for:
1. Having a mother who has always heard a different drummer and who has always believed in me 2. The closeness to town and seclusion of Otarawairere beach where nothing manmade can be seen and White Island can be seen puffing away on the horizon 3. Fruit trees!!! 4. Kind people 5. The paradox of being able to learn, change and grow while still being me 6. The love of a man who knows my weaknesses and appreciates my strengths 7. Not fearing or dreading - in fact, appreciating - becoming older 8. Art 9. The funny things that donkeys do 10. The mystery of the future My favorite raw vegan Re: Gratitude List

I am also grateful knowing that I have a future which I predict will be just as interesting and eventful as the first one third of my life - yes, I intend to live a very long time!!! I'm grateful to come here and find many people still around who touched my life by their words of wisdom and caring thoughts and humor and yes, even criticism. Wheatgrass-it does this body good! Date: December 02, 2009 06:12AM I'm grateful for having soo much stuff. I have a whole and healthy body. A great family. Some excellent friends. A positive attitude. A bed to sleep in at night. As much food as I would like. A car, and the list goes on. It is amazing when I stop and think about it. It is so easy to overlook things when one becomes accustomed to always having them.
It feels very theraputic to refocus on how great these things are... otherwise I can go by thinking its just "normal". Re: Gratitude List
