i even went trick or treating too
well it was a friend's little " baby" son

someone gave me a tangerine while i was trick or treating

Awesome jack-o-lantern! I love owls; there are three in the copse near my house and sometimes their hooting wakes me up really early and in a gentle way. Your creativity is mind boggling!

I was walking through a park at dusk one time and disturbed one, it dropped out of a tree near by and flew past me. I had to do a double take because it was %100 silent as though nothing was realy happening. Quite fantastic and magical !

HA! I actually said the exact same thing to a clerk at one of the local thrift stores I frequent recently! It was right before Halloween, and there were black witch's hats, orange wigs, lots of really old, hopelessly bizarre vintage clothing the store could only persuade people to buy for Halloween, and all the rest of the usual Halloween costume 'stuff' that Goodwill, Salvation Army and the vintage stores trot out every October. I ignored it all and bought a nice purple top, and as he was ringing it up I said to him, 'Well, you know, with me, every day's Halloween anyway, what with all the purple stuff and the purple lipstick.' You've got my number, WY!

No, but seriously, I love Halloween. (And uncharacteristically, I wore black for halloween this year. I made Jonathan wear the purple.) I think people should dress up like this once a month, at the very least, because I swear, on Halloween, even on the subway in a big metropolis, where everybody usually avoids eye contact as if one glance would make them explode, people are so happy and they loosen up and smile at strangers and strike up conversations. World leaders, declare Halloween a bi-weekly mandatory holiday; it just could save the world and usher in a new golden era of peace. ;-p

at the risk of getting lynched i think this is one of the things i love about shazzie ...

she play dresses up whenever she feels like .. i think that is nifty

Yeah Kwan I couldn't agree more !! Halloween is one of those occasions where people give themselves the excuse to go out and be "normal" for a change. If only people realised that life becomes much easier this way
