Yeah, a neighbor/friend tried to get me to buy into those grocery coupon books years ago...very surprised when she learned that I don't eat packaged foods. "How weird" was the reply...funny, she rarely talks to me at all now... Re: Name Your Own Price For Food Worked!

I honestly have never met anyone in my life who takes more OTC and prescription medicine than this friend. At her wedding she opened her purse at one point, and it was filled to bursting with bottles of pills and asthma inhalers. Sharrhan: [www.facebook.com] Re: Name Your Own Price For Food Worked!

I hear you loud & clear - they should require a permit to carry around your own personal pharmacy. Oh yeah, I guess they do - it's called a "prescription"... Re: Name Your Own Price For Food Worked!

Have you seen that new Advil commercial? The one with all the unhappy, middle aged, middle class people standing in the pain meds aisle at some anonymous pharmacy, scrutinizing the bottles wincingly and wondering which pain med to buy? The premise is like the old Total cereal commercial, you know, it takes this many bowls of Shredded Wheat to equal the nutrition in this one bowl of Total! The soothing voiceover tells us we'd have to take this many whatever to equal the pain relief of one Advil, yadda yadda. It makes my blood run cold, that commercial. There is no suggestion that chronic pain is abnormal and that you should maybe go see your doctor and get the cause diagnosed and taken care of. We here dwell in an alternate universe, my friend . . . Re: Name Your Own Price For Food Worked!

Actually, I missed that one...but most of the pharma commercials are so goofy that I tune them out... Why is everyone walking around, playing golf & smiling in those commercials? lol Re: Name Your Own Price For Food Worked!

"Why is everyone walking around, playing golf & smiling in those commercials?" Because that is what one does when one has been delivered from the ravening maw of Chronic Back Pain by the loving kid-gloved hand of Pfizer, dontchaknow : ) Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
