[soundcloud.com] About 95% is from that online flash program. I added some effects to it. There is also some midi tracks in it. Here is another online music toy: [lab.andre-michelle.com] Here's a couple online radio stations I enjoy: [www.di.fm] [www.minimal-wave.org] (just click on the music tab on the left side of the page for this one) david Re: Awesomely fun/simple music generator

Thanks for posting that link; I can tell I'd waste many hours there if I weren't careful! David, Being from Detroit, I love me some electronica, and that chune hit the spot on such a winter's day Don't get why it's named after a cheese, though . . . Re: Awesomely fun/simple music generator

Date: January 14, 2011 11:44PM I'm just learning the Cubase basics. I'm not a musician, but need to learn a little so I can use the wave files to drive animation sequences in Houdini.
Fun stuff. I don't have much of a clue of what I'm doing yet, and have very little musical talent, but it's cool to learn a new media. Are you a musician? What are using Cubase for? Re: Awesomely fun/simple music generator

Date: January 16, 2011 06:29PM Yeah, I suppose I'm a musician and that's what I use it for. Cubase is my "central software". I'll use anything to make the wav files but bring it all together in Cubase where I do the production. Sometimes I write with midi in it. I use real instruments, software, and anything I can make a sound with.
I've been using cubase for 5 years and learn new things everyday. Its all homegrown for me. david Re: Awesomely fun/simple music generator

Date: January 16, 2011 11:11PM Cool!
Do you know of any good tutorials for Cubase? I found a series on Neuendo, but nothing on Cubase yet. I've come to the conclusion that I need to get a midi keyboard. Qwerty's just not cutting it, even on the simple things I'm doing. So I just started looking for a small used midi. I'm fairly new to Houdini as well, so this is a pretty basic example. I was just playing around with some stuff, and it's only 13 seconds long. The ripple portion of the animation originates from a single chord. I didn't import the sound, only the wave properties. Date: January 17, 2011 11:28PM When I do some research on it, I generally go to the Cubase Forums on Steinberg's website:
[www.steinberg.net] Other than that, I use the help files that came with cubase. If I'm looking for a specific topic, I open the cubase help files which are pdf's and then search for a specific word by using the 'Find' box located in the menu bar. Those animations are very very eye pleasing, especially Jellyfish?. I've never used houdini. I have some easy on the ears tracks that I believe could go well with something like that: [soundcloud.com] [soundcloud.com] [soundcloud.com] [soundcloud.com] If you are interested in getting some practice making a music video and doing it as a collaboration I would definitely not stop you or put any restriction on what you'd want to do as long as the music isn't changed. david Re: Awesomely fun/simple music generator
