this has been a rreally tough weekend for me :/

Date: February 14, 2011 01:59AM we (my hubby and me) have been bagging up my moms clothes .. sending off various peices of furniture that dont serve us and im crying up a storm over my mom and dad
my brothers and sissters are harassing me over every little thing i give away ..giving it tosomeone i think that can use it rather than worry over what bit of a buck i can get for it nobody in my family gets it ..they are so $$$ orientated. le sigh ..le sad  ...Jodi, the banana eating buddhist  Re: this has been a rreally tough weekend for me :/

Stay with your positive memories of your folks as you sort through all that old stuff, let it be a source of good feelings (including the sad one, those are good too). Date: February 14, 2011 05:11AM I'm so sorry your brothers and sisters have their values so out of joint. Your strength and beauty of doing the right thing are a role model to them of how to be loving and human - even if they don't seem to take any notice now.

Date: February 14, 2011 05:03PM I am glad you're feeling better. It's difficult belonging to the same "blood" and being so different. But feel compassion for them--they know not what they do. You would think that "death" (I like 'transition') would shake them out of the illusion of worldliness and money-grubbing but nope. Doesn't always go down like that. Have a great week!
