Date: December 05, 2011 02:56AM We tend to judge what is compassionate on appearances, but I don't think that compassion can be defined by any outward observation. I think that it exists as a state of being, intention or feeling. We can recognise actions which we could justifiably call compassionate, but I think that it extends beyond mere physical activity.
Sometimes I think that being compassionate can take a form which seems contrary to our basic notions ( such as enforcing a resource restriction in the interest of making it sustainable for example... ). Re: Compassion and empathy

I do wonder sometimes what changes will happen in the near future for the world with all the financial troubles. I don't know if anyone can predict what the world will be like in 10 years.
