Check out this ancient popcorn!

Date: January 23, 2012 03:33PM I air-pop corn for the kids with a smidge of oil, salt and nutritional yeast. It's not raw but I've got to let them have some snacky foods that Grandma etc can make for them or there would be a revolt on both sides of that equation, lol. Better than the rest of the junk she picks out ("What? It says it's organic!" Oreos, chocolate, chips, etc. Organic = always good in her mind. Sigh).
Anyhoo, I'm hoping one of my planty friends will order and grow this ancient corn. I buy organic multi-colour corn already but I'm sure it's highly hybridized, I'd love to try it in it's ancient form. [www.treehugger.com] Re: Check out this ancient popcorn!

This derailing is a bit of a habit with you, eh? Re: Check out this ancient popcorn!

Date: January 24, 2012 08:53PM I doubt it's as soft and fluffy as Orville Reddenbacher or Jolly time. Maybe ground. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
