Date: June 01, 2012 07:11PM I don't know WY, if you prefer to give a gift of cash I think $50 is generous for a person of that age celebrating an accomplishment of that level. $20 though is nothing to sneeze at. Depends how close you are and what you feel good about giving. A card would be sufficient on it's own . Re: How much money would you give?

Date: June 01, 2012 11:14PM $50, and a nice card. So many kids don't graduate high school these days with anything like preparedness or maturity, it would be nice to show him you value his commitement to school. Re: How much money would you give?

I found out today that my Brother and his wife (one set of grandparents) gave the Graduate $500. I figured $100 from me would be about right, so I sent it......WY Re: How much money would you give?

You gotta be kidding. That would make the kid think he will never have to work a day in his life, and hoard houses and cars, and become a wasted drug addict. Dont laugh. It has been the course of many folks. Re: How much money would you give?

Date: June 05, 2012 12:33PM That's really nice WY. If I'd seen this earlier I would have said to send what you could reasonably afford - a well brought up child would have been grateful for the thought behind the gift no matter how small - or large the amount. Re: How much money would you give?
