Friends gave me the dvd Temple Grandin to watch. Basic subject is autism. Extreemly difficult to watch as it is hard reality. Many positive lessons to learned by it. It gets into the humane treatment of animals in a very big way.

Yes

why was it so hard to watch

was it cuz autism is not an easy subject, or cuz of the animal thing

both of those.
She had autism. It was a biography of her life, how she behaved, how others cruely reacted to her, what her family went through, breakthroughs and then great success. She specialized in the humane treatment of animals. She went up against the most brutal of the brutal. You have to decide how accepting or jugdemental are you yourself.

thanks for the information back2eden

much appreciated

as far as "judgemental"

i guess that is just the world of duality 3 dimensional

if something is bad, the opposite is good and vice versa

strange thing... duality

everything just is

is anything in nature good or bad?

Hey V,

You wrote, “strange thing... duality … is anything in nature good or bad?”

I've been chomping on the bit to answer this question, but first, I’m courious - have you read Ken Wilber's book "No Boundary"?

JR

have not read wilbur's book
just read a little essay though about his book
makes sense
to adulate and commend one thing is to inherently disparage its opposite
this is a set up
and a grievously absurd one, at that
it is true that one thing cannot exist without its polarity
that's just how nature rolls
to live in duality
is to live in fear
to dissolve duality
is to have infinite freedom
infinitely accessible
in every moment

how to attain it?
i don't know
maybe we all have it
i think its our true nature

and maybe i just forget sometimes

but i like to be forgetful sometimes
cuz it makes me happy when i remember

like i like to be thirsty sometimes
cuz it makes me happy when i drink something refreshing

or i like to be hungry sometimes
cuz then an orange tastes REALLY good!
