Date: October 10, 2012 01:16AM ok i was reading this book recently and it put *stuff* into some perspective
someone like me who has alot of stuff and cant purge (im sorry coco i just cant lol) needs to deal with the stuff they have and some really neat helpful things were keeping a bookshelf ..of books that you are really digging ..all books in the house go on the bookshelf .. any other books that don't fit or are not useful .. go away shrines you can have shrines throughout your house for all your memories for instance i just made a spot in the corner of a room for my parents i have a holiday shrine in my living room for ever-changing holidays .. my kitchen shrine is full of useful equipment that i don't always daily but they're cool things i use from time to time ...Jodi, the banana eating buddhist Re: lovin yer stuff !

Date: October 12, 2012 02:40AM Jodi, purging doesn't mean getting rid of everything. It sounds like the book is suggesting paring down and not getting rid of everything. That is a good way of dipping into the waters of simplifying one's life. Re: lovin yer stuff !

Date: October 13, 2012 05:53PM I like getting rid of stuff, and sometimes find myself in situation when i suddenly need the thing i thought i wouldn't lol.
When I decided to become raw everything which didn't apply went to friends immediately - cook books, rice maker, canned tuna, hot chocolate powder, some pots and pans and so on. Felt great! >Banana ice-cream rocks!< Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
