I know a tent city of poor who rode it out in Lakewood NJ. Towns like the tent city, good way out of having to provide shelters for the poor.

The Gov of NJ said dont even talk to me about the elections.
damage is very bad. An inlet that has been hidden for over a hundred years has opened up in Bay Head NJ from the storm

Staten Island is mostly on high ground, Water front areas are low but most of that is commercal. I spent years on this waterfront tug boating.

Wrong, wrong, wrong --

Cuomo: New York Homeowners Should Not Have To Pay Hurricane Deductibles

If someone chooses to build a house where it could be flooded or damaged by a hurricane, don't FORCE others to pay for your loss.

Don't Force Insurance Companies to swallow the loss - that's not how 'insurance' works, and not how 'free enterprise' and 'contracts' work. Insurance companies work on a small 3% or 4% profit margin.

The Free Market - Supply and Demand

If there was price gouging, there would be plenty of gas in NY and NJ.
