Buying online

Hi,

I'm getting used to buy my stuff at my local health food store but I'm starting to see that it could be cheaper and have a better guarantee of rawness on certain online locations.

I'd like to order some nuts for www.nutsonline.com Do you people know if this is a good place to buy them raw and in shell. Are their raw nuts really raw? Are the price and shipping price and time reasonable?

Also, what about sproutpeople.com for sprouts?

Thanks a lot.

I like NutsOnLine.com. They have the best nuts I've found. The Raw Cashews I bought from them looked a little 'old', but I've never found good ones anywhere, and won't re-order. All the other nuts (Walnuts, Pistachio, Pine, Brazil, Pecans) were very Fresh. They do more than just Nuts. I just today received 5 pounds of Organic Turkish Figs from them....WY

Thanks WY for the info.

I assume I'm better off buying in-shell nuts. Am I?

If so, what do you guys use to crack open macadamia nuts? Those are so tasty.

In-Shell aren't always the Best. I got some
old Black Walnuts and ended up throwing them out. In-Shell
are much more work too. I've gone totally to shelled, storing
them in Mason Jars, and putting them in the refrigerator....WY

I bought from nutsonline before (5 lbs each of conventional walnuts, almonds, and brazil nuts in shell) and I was very pleased with them.

But wow, have the prices gone up!

I eat very little nuts these days. More avocado, which is probably a good thing. When Bryan says that a fresh fruit is better I believe him.

I've bought some great seeds at sproutpeople.com and HIGHLY recommend them. Their website also has really easy to follow sprouting directions and lots of other helpful info too. The oats, kamut and spelt I got at Whole Foods never sprouted properly, and the rye not at all...probably because they were just sitting in the bins too long.

Stuff arrives in a few days too, which is nice.

I just ordered something from SproutPeople.com. They have a nice Website, with lots of 'stuff'. They are high with their shipping cost, but other than that it was a good experience.....WY
