So As I was Saying...

Date: May 29, 2008 11:01PM ... before I had a little meltdown (way back in November 2007) over some things that were said-- or implied or whatever-- on the Youkta Kulvinskas thread, and left the group for awhile...
<vvvv> (that's my snaggle-toothed smile) ... I (still) LOVE THIS FORUM !! Having juice fasted for 31 days, I'm feeling SO much love, joy and gratitude for everyone in this group. We are a VERY disparate group with lots of different socio-political and spiritual viewpoints; there will never be a consensus on this forum and that's okay. Like most of you, my main reason for participating in this forum is related to optimal diet and conscious evolution. I can't promise I won't take a stand on a social, political, cultural or spiritual issue from time to time, since I believe implicitly that there are times when to NOT take a stand for what one believes to be true is cowardly, especially when one is speaking in defense of oppressed or enslaved sentient beings. I also may post an article about Codex on the off-topic forum from time to time, but I promise not to be a nuisance, just an information sharer. ;-) Here's my plan: I'm here to have fun, shoot the breeze, share my insights, applaud your collective brilliance and uniqueness, and-- especially-- learn as much as I can from you. Love, joy and peace-- Sharrhan Sharrhan: [www.facebook.com] Re: So As I was Saying...

Codex needs to be defeated. Period. I'm glad there are people like you taking a stand. Re: So As I was Saying...

Date: May 31, 2008 12:14AM Hi LaVEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Yep, it's kind of boring, not very fun work, and I haven't been very motivated about it lately, but I'm looking forward to the day when Americans will know enough about Codex to realize that it isn't a feminine hygiene product! ;-) Sharrhan: [www.facebook.com] Re: So As I was Saying...

<<Yep, it's kind of boring, not very fun work, and I haven't been very motivated about it lately, but I'm looking forward to the day when Americans will know enough about Codex to realize that it isn't a feminine hygiene product! ;-)>> the difference between them is that one prevents a catastrophe whereas the other thing creates one you are right... activism work is not always very fun ... and a lot of times it can be a LOT of hours, talking to people who aren't very interested, and kind of downright grueling but it does have its own rewards that are immeasurable i have worked for a lot of environmental issues as well and continue to do so it always was a mixture of an appalling amount of invisible work and equally invisible elation Re: So As I was Saying...

>the difference between them is that one prevents a catastrophe whereas the other thing creates one< :-p lol This is true. >i have worked for a lot of environmental issues as well and continue to do so it always was a mixture of an appalling amount of invisible work and equally invisible elation< I like the elation part-- still waiting for that! Good for you that you've been working on environmental issues. Each of us can find our own 'pet' issues to focus on, and in time things will improve. JUCING!-- yeah, what a total rush, physically, mentally, spiritually! If everybody could somehow be persuaded to juice fast for 30 or 60 days, I'm convinced the world would be paradise. Water fasting is difficult and noble and all that, and an exercise in extreme self-control, but juice fasting is so easy and enjoyable, it almost feels hedonistic after a few days. ;-) I'm totally hooked for life. What's your favorite green juice? Mine is pineapple/orange/celery at the moment. Love, Sharrhan Sharrhan: [www.facebook.com] Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
