Can anyone please tell me which fruit(s) and which vegetable(s) have the most abundant variety of vitamins/minerals?

Thanks!

Per calorie, that would be dark leafy greens. Next best is solid green vegetables. Next best is nonsweet fruit. Next best is sweet fruit and starchy vegetables. Next best is fatty fruit.

You need them all, they all have something.

If you are looking for a particular nutrient you can use this search engine. The only thing that I don't like about this search engine is that, for most nutrients you have to click on a link to find out the actual amount, it doesn't display on the search page. But it will sort categories of food in order of the amount of the nutrient from highest to lowest.

In general, fruits are the food with the highest percentage of vitamins, and veggies/greens are the food with the highest percentage of minerals. This is comparing them to ANYthing else others may consider as foods, such as animal products, etc.

So a variety of fruits and veggies/greens would cover you more than adequately.

Who can really say the nutrient count in a fruit/veggie is,you have to take into account the storage, condition, how the produce was grown, when it was picked, etc...and even then I've yet to find anybody that pick up an apple and can tell me how much vit c is in it just by looking at it!
