Date: July 05, 2008 09:51AM any hperthyroids on raw. what is your experience?
i was reading that the only condition where raw food is contraindicated is overactive thyroid. [www.digitalnaturopath.com] i have noticed my TSH levels worsen on raw, to a point where they are very low. I didn't twig that it was down to raw food though. i will be doing a 24 hour urine test on monday. Re: raw and hyperthroid

Date: July 05, 2008 02:55PM This quote from the page shows that they know little about the raw foods diet:
"A long-term RFD should be supplemented as the intake of vitamins D, B2, B3 (niacin), B12 and the minerals zinc and calcium are typically low. A further consequence is the lower than average protein intake. Coupled with a low nutrient energy intake, the protein consumed may be being used as a supplementary energy source by the body, thus reducing the available dietary protein even further. As might be expected, the intake of antioxidant vitamins A, E and C is remarkably high. However, looking at the nutrient intake as a whole, the low intakes of certain essential nutrients coupled with the known physiological consequences cannot be outweighed by the positive aspects and should be taken seriously." Date: July 08, 2008 04:10PM Hyperthyroidism can also be caused by parasites.
Buy some parasite cleansers and clean yourself out on a 30 day program. [www.curemanual.com] Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
