puffiness

Date: July 08, 2008 11:33PM OK. So this might sound vain. But it is indicative of a broader health issue. Has anyone experienced being really puffy on high fruit? I have in the past. My face and body has this doughy and watery look. It is either that the sugar is feeding my candida and bacterial imbalances or it is detox and my body is retaining fluid to dilute the toxins. I hope it is the latter. All I crave these days is fruit. But I am struggling to trust that and instead am eating yucky amounts of oil, seeds, avocadoes, etc. It doesn't feel good and I am exhausted! I have only given fruit a short trial period. What is your experience? Re: puffiness

Date: July 09, 2008 12:12AM I do in general. But when I eat sugar I get a doughy exterior that is very superficial but very uncomfortable and odd looking. Chinese medicine calls it dampness. I call it toxins when attributed to ice cream and starches and I don't know what it is regarding fruit. I dance and do yoga. All I need is to trust my desire for fruit? Or not? The high protein thing is just grossing me out. And my digestion is pretty shot. What better to digest than ripe fruit? Re: puffiness

I'm sure you're the only one who 'sees' it. We're our own worst critic, aren't we? People think I'm too thin, but I see areas. > ...I call it toxins when > attributed to ice cream and starches and I don't > know what it is regarding fruit.... > What better to digest than ripe fruit? I like the way Green Smoothies (with lots of Greens) are moving through my body. When I binge, it's not ice cream and starches, but Fruit. I've been liking Honeydew Melons these days......WY Re: puffiness

Date: July 09, 2008 01:21AM I wonder if salt might be part of the puffiness by causing the body to retain water ? I'm not referring to natural salt that is part of a natural plant but rather salt that comes in a package or container. The kind of salt that is mined from the ground or dried from the sea and is not one with the plant as a part of the plant. The salt I am referring to is un-natural chemical salt. Do you use that kind of salt and do you think it might be a factor in puffiness ? Re: puffiness

Try to wean yourself off Sugar, but do it gradually. Do you like Greens? They will help balance the Sugar. Re: puffiness

Date: July 09, 2008 02:28AM I agree with WY. Maybe the alkalizing power of greens will help you. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
