Date: July 10, 2008 12:34AM I am somewhat new to raw foods. I have malasma, skin discoloration and brown spots from the sun. my dermo wants to give me all kinds of harsh bleaching creams or laser removal. is there anything anyone has used that may be safer and work!! Hydroquinone is a poison to the skin when it's used in the long term. Should be ok if you are using it only for a short period of time. It's still on the market because it's the most effective topical, epecially at prescription strength. You will also have to protect your skin from UVA for the rest of your life, otherwise the discolorations will come back. Re: skim discoloration...malasma

Date: July 10, 2008 02:14PM I also have this. It is due to adrenal fatigue in my case. I used to give myself a facial everyday. I would cleanse, tone with rosewater and and lemon juice, and then put goat yogurt on for 5 or 10 minutes. It helped a lot. Re: skim discoloration...malasma

I use to use half a lemon on dark spots on my elbows and knees, and I think that worked quite well too! It's not dramatic, but I think it worked better than than cream I tried (and without the chemicals/price tag!). Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
