I am somewhat new to raw foods. I have malasma, skin discoloration and brown spots from the sun. my dermo wants to give me all kinds of harsh bleaching creams or laser removal. is there anything anyone has used that may be safer and work!!

No, but you will heal faster with your diet.

Hydroquinone is a poison to the skin when it's used in the long term. Should be ok if you are using it only for a short period of time. It's still on the market because it's the most effective topical, epecially at prescription strength.

You will also have to protect your skin from UVA for the rest of your life, otherwise the discolorations will come back.

I also have this. It is due to adrenal fatigue in my case. I used to give myself a facial everyday. I would cleanse, tone with rosewater and and lemon juice, and then put goat yogurt on for 5 or 10 minutes. It helped a lot.

I use to use half a lemon on dark spots on my elbows and knees, and I think that worked quite well too! It's not dramatic, but I think it worked better than than cream I tried (and without the chemicals/price tag!).
