I have tomatoes that I grew in my yard in Vista.

We moved while they were still green on the vine but some of them are ripening nicely on the kitchen counter.

Will probably try one tonight or tomorrow. smiling smiley

Did you pick the tomatoes or did you take the whole vines with you Tony?

I have cherry toms in a pot, but the regulars are in the garden.

So far I've got lots of lettuce and cilantro, and I notice that they taste way yummier than the store-bought stuff. Also some edible weeds -- lambsquarters and purslane. I also can't wait for the tomatoes!!! There is something so wonderful about eating right from the garden.

Love,
Uma

I have planted zucchini, red beets, radish, and tomatos. Planted late, they are still babies.
This is my first time to have a garden and grow viggies in there! I am so excited about it! Going raw has given me great fun so far!

Just had a some mutingia calabura it looks like a red blueberry and taste like a cross between caramel and corn on the sweet side.

It is a fast growing tree last year I had two one was knocked out during the hurricanes.

I have a lot of parsley around and portalocas or purslane everywhere some papayas and a lot of coconuts and some pineapples and sour oranges also.

Love Peace and Happiness,
Cherimoya

Yes! We have been eating out of our garden for a few months now. Carrots, beets, tons of salad mixes, spinach, broccoli, sugar snap peas, tomatoes, cilantro, basil, and I think that is about it. I love it.

I am definitely living in the wrong place!!!@!!@@@!@!!
hahahhahhahahah

It's gonna be some time before the rest of my stash is ready, but here's all of what I have planted.
Raspberries
Tomatoes, regular and cherry
Red bell peppers
Green bell peppers
Banana peppers
green onions
zucchini
cucumbers
snow peas
beans
carrots

I was gonna try melons, but didn't have the room.
Next year I'll clear more of the garden for more stuff.
Oh, and I also planted stinging nettles, but I had to replant as the first ones died. sad smiley

i live in an apartment so all i have is my deck to grow veggies on, but it's like a jungle!

i'm growing:
tomatoes
basil
cilantro
oregano
red peppers
jalepanos
chili peppers
kale
chard
lettuce
snow peas
rosemary
margoram
parsley
thyme
tarygon
sorrel

the weather up her in the the pacific nw has been cold and rainy, so all that's ready to eat so far is salad. the small kale and chard leaves are soo good added to the lettuce and i add basil, sno pea leaves, parsley and cilantro too! thankfully i have a friend closeby with land so we area growing corn, potatoes, zucchini beans, garlic and onions together.

happy gardening people!

I had my first strawberry from the garden today! (Although the rest look like they will be a while before they are ready.)

There are wild greens in the garden including Jack by the Hedge, Sow Thistle and Dandelion.

I've planted tomatoes and basil which are both doing well. Not much of the other stuff seems to have come up.

We've also got plums and apples which will give some fruit later in the year, and just planted a cherry tree so maybe cherries next year.

I'm in London, England.

Rob

we had a cherry tree in our back yard when I was growing up, it was the best !!!

It's great to see what everyone has, some of the stuff I've never heard of, so it's fun to read about it. Thanks everyone!!

I guess this is more like orcharding than gardening, but we grow our own oranges, tangelos, tangerines, lemons, white sapote, mamey sapote, jackfruit, avocados, macadamia nuts, coconut (just starting to bear this year), bananas, lychee, rambutan, longan, abiu, rose apples, passion fruit, surinam cherries, ice cream bean, mangostein (not yet fruiting), and durian (not yet fruiting). We have planted about 700 - 800 fruit trees here in the past 14 years or so.

We used to do pineapple and we had a veggie garden, but it got to be too much work to do it all (I especially miss the pineapple and arugula)!
