Raw Food Restaurants in the L.A. area

Hello,
During our forthcoming holiday, we are planning to spend a few days staying in Santa Monica, Southern California (as previously mentioned in other posts). We particularly wish to really enjoy the raw food restaurants and some delicious raw gourmet food (given that we don't have the opportunity to do so here in the U.K.).

What raw food restaurants / cafes / diners (that any of you have eaten at during the past few months in the L.A. / Santa Monica area) would you truly recommend for delicious food etc? Also, are there any that you would recommend that we avoid?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
John

[leafcuisine.com] The one veronique mentioned

[www.planetraw.com] Juliano's restaurant

[www.aulac.com] Both raw and cooked menus.

I haven't been to any of them. But I think that's the main ones in L.A.

Hello,
Thanks Swimmer for the raw restaurant links - very kind.
We already have a lot of names and addresses of raw food places in the L.A. area, but we were interested in getting honest opinions about them. There are so many places. It would be nice to know about places that people from this forum have recently eaten at (and enjoyed the food etc).

Which raw food places in the L.A. area have you eaten at recently and can recommend as being very good? Anybody?

Thanks,
John

Sorry John, I misunderstood the first post.

My ex room mate went to Juliano's twice last year, she really liked to food, but the portions were tiny, so you have to order a lot.

Sorry I can't help more than that. My raw hangouts have been Cilantro's in San Diego, but they recently closed all three location, sad smiley

My sister went to a raw restaurant in Santa Monica recently. I'll ask her how it went and report back.
